1994年Gun Free Schools Act 通过，同时联邦政府迫使各州也通过了类似法律之后，

后春笋一
般不断增加。从94年至今至今已发生14起，每两年一起。
不过就是在这个法案通过后，仍然有红州教职员工违法带枪到学校，制止屠杀的案例。
