I once did it in New York Consulate, just walk in early in the morning.
After two hours' wait in the hall, they call your number and you collect the
visa. Another time in Los Angeles, submit app in the morning and then
collect visa at 2 pm same day. Generalizing from these two samples, with
high probability, Detroit consulate will also give you the visa on the same
day. |

其实过程比较波折，因为8月底马上还要回国，结果拖到7月25号才把材料寄出，结果周
一寄出的，第二个周一（8月1号）早上收到退还的材料，说需要旧的护照和以往美国签
证复印件，汗，网页上没写这个，所以当时只寄了新护照，汗……立刻补上旧护照，并

和). 人气差了点. 今天tiger有比赛,体育馆周围人到还多. 天上还有一架F/A-18战斗
机飞来飞去, 声音可怕, 不知是否在反恐:-). 我最满意的是people mover高架列车,坐
在上面就逛了街景, 特别适合我这样的懒人. 回想在washington DC摔脚板的痛,
detroit 市政府真是善解人意. 建议全美国城市推广.呵呵 |

原以为底特律是快被遗弃的城市了
上周日一Yale的弟弟来玩去了趟downtown
高楼林立 不过大半都慌着
看着心寒
这周末文化节
倒是开了把眼
摄影绘画铁艺珠宝
爱拍照的偶
当然关注这绘画 摄影市场前景了
果然如cajal所说
摄影烧到中意的器材之后
就是烧机票了
今天接触的不知道算不算大牌
价钱在没看我纽约摄影展的我来说
是比较高了
有400的（装裱了长一米左右的）
6寸的也要30
和其中一个搞黑白的聊了暗房之后
偶有了点信心（不过后来发现他那无人问津）
赏心悦目的风景人文大多645拍的（也有66）
还有拿4×5拍很有韵味的《青年文摘》封面画的
有清汤寡水般的负片照（记得胶片版上有人上过类似的）
也有所谓digital fine art一看就猜到了是ps的水粉画效果 |

are in US, why they want to stay in Canada, hehe. you need to show at least
your US visa so that they will know you can go back to US after the visit.
maybe bank statement is helpful, too. I have never heard anybody get
rejected before. so take it easy. check out the website of canada consulate in detroit, and make sure you bring every document they want. |
