The most expensive consultant I met was $500-600 an hour. This person built
an entire devision in FDA (an MD) and was the head for that devision for
many years before "retired". For companies working in submitting IND into
that devision, this price is acceptable.
Other than persons with this kind of credential, technical consulting is not
that lucrative, especially if you had not cultivated influence. |

我在这个devision做工程师，还行，review都是排前几，也比较开心和自在。那几个头
对我应该还算了解。
前天，我们这个部门的engineering manager（我头的头，但是经常一起做产品和项目
）跟我说那个新部门的工程的头想要我过去。但是他说，我一部分工作包括的产品的销
售额比买的那个公司的总共的都多。他不想要我走。
然后问我什么时候promote过，我说前年工资提了很多，但是不知道算不算promote。我
觉得不改title不算什么promote，我还是工程师，他说加工资也是。（我的年度加工资
应该一般比别人多。如果我老板没骗我。我也从来不主动要加工资）
