Among those positive in 1 hr glucose tolerance test, there will be 15% true
gestational diabetes in 3 hrs glucose tolerance test positive.
So gestational diabetes is relatively small percentage among the whole
population.
Once you've been diagnosed with gd, some people will have type 2 dm 10－20

monitor glucose level. My doctor told meto monitor 1hour or 2hour glucose
level after meal. And the target level is 140 or below for 1hr and 120 or
below after 1hr. I was reading some posts yesterday and many people
mentioned that the 1hr target should be 120... Did my doctor gave me the
wrong information?

这次怀孕，在刚查出来的时候，也就是35天时就测了1小时耐糖。原因是因为我OB担心
我过些日子会孕吐，喝glucose会难受，我当时也忘记了我第一胎何时测的了，回来后
查完才知道大家都在24周左右测的
测完第二天OB打电话给我，说值是214，太高了，告知我是糖尿病患者，需要再次抽血
和24小时尿液检测，（这个还不是3小时耐糖）见营养师，控制饮食，扎指头一天4次。
我无比郁闷，心想怎么会
呢？
再说下我当时测1小时血糖的背景：早晨7：40吃完早点，中午没进食，1：20pm喝了
glucose，当时已经饿的不行了，饿得发晕，但是没办法，还是等了一个小时，抽血的
时候已经是2点20了。我想知道这个会不会影响血糖值？
2天前再次抽了2管血和收集了24小时尿液，到目前没人通知测试结果，我刚才去上
diabetic education的课，拿到我的order，看到上面写的visit 原因是 gestation
diabetes，我就有疑问了，OB告诉我是糖尿病患者，怎么这个又成了孕期糖尿病，我看

对lz来讲这到是个好的提醒
因为糖妈都是血糖调节已经受损的人了
只不过是因为怀孕让这个问题体现出来而已
首先要知道糖尿病是个渐进的过程
不是有或者没有，而是距离糖尿病有多近的问题
二是pre-diabetes跟早期糖尿病都是可逆的
好好控制可以推迟或者完全避免发病
也就是说你现在不知道自己血糖有问题
或者如你所说早生老二而错过这个提醒
继续吃不对的食物，不注意控制，锻炼
反而将来更可能，或更早的发展成糖尿病
我自己是糖妈，通过控制血糖我彻底改了饮食习惯,而且坚持锻炼
不仅如此，我也矫正了我妈（糖尿病患者）我姐（曾经pre-diabetes）的饮食习惯以及
对锻炼的认识
所以我认为这是个因祸得福的机会 |

饭后也是100左右。我的ob的意见是随着产期临近，会越来越难控制，到某个点，该上
胰岛素还是要上。
你的数值我觉得还好，可能你还是要注意一下饮食，尤其父母在的时候。南瓜饼什么的
真的不能粘，为了宝宝就忍几个月吧。。。。
关于见医生。看你的保险吧。我的保险cover,所以我基本上是2个星期见一次 diabetes
management. 这个和营养师有点不一样。我同意你的观点，营养师见一次就够了。
diabetes management更多的是根据你近期的血糖，还有ob检查的情况，饮食帮你提出
建议。我觉得好处是可以回答一些ob没有时间聊得问题，而且对产后的饮食，调整都会
给你很好的建议。和ob是互补的关系。
另外关于胰岛素，我也是很怕，但到了我的这个阶段，饮食和锻炼效果不大。只有上了
。总之一些为了宝宝的健康。
中餐的确很难控制，油多，调料多，光是酱油的carb就相当高。建议你尝试一下西餐，
我一般都是烤鸡肉，牛肉，turkey,然后沙拉。的确很单调，但这是对我最有用的。另

发帖数: 811 | 10 gestational diabetes 是年龄越大，几率越高。不过，gestational diabetes也是怀
孕期间最容易控制的 complication, 没什么多担心的了。
高血压，我看的资料里没有说和年龄有关。
其实我个人认为，年纪大了怀孕，最值得担心的是染色体，比如 down syndrome. 40岁
的几率是20岁的4倍。当然，也要看绝对数字，20岁1:1600, 40岁1:400. 如果把所有基
因乱组都算上，20岁1:400, 40岁1:100。总的来说是小概率，但确实随年纪增长而变大。
不过，现在有那么多的科技，查了放心了就是。
其他的，个人认为没什么太大的区别，比如体力，恢复等等，完全看个人。
还想说一下高领生孩子的好处，一般的说，这个年龄的人都相对来说 more
established, 所以经济上会好一些，more likely 请月嫂，不会一家人挤在小公寓，

13 -14 is too high for diabetes. He will probably need more insulin or he
need to change the type of insulin.
please search for " free clinic"
or go to a pulic hospital clinic. It will cost you almost nothing.
Diabetes is not eat "sugar free" stuff. It need to calculate total calorie
and protein and carb and fat carefully. |

去看diabetic consultant。当时我还打了电话问了保险公司cover不？他们说YES。后
来居然收到了保险公司的账单，说不cover要自付。再打电话去问，说是ob refer不算
，要pcp的referral才行，我晕，你们在前一通电话里面为啥不说清楚呢。最后只能自
掏腰包几百块了。就当有个教训吧。打那以后，无论是看specialist还是什么别的pcp
以外的医生，我都打电话去一问再问。虽然麻烦和小农了点，但是保险本身都挺贵的了
，还要我自掏腰包，我当然不愿意了。建议mm可以试一试向保险公司appeal health
insurance denial，最后如果还是保持原判，再自付也不迟。 |

top10 医学院做了2.5年糖尿病临床trial的postdoc，文章大概15片，一作大概7，8片
，有diabetes care（》9分），endocrinology（5，6分），etc，常年为diabetes等杂
志审稿。目前有3年Gap。我一点儿也不想当faculty，只想找份稳定的工作，其实进工
业界是我最大的心愿，是不是3年的Gap，工业界就不要想了？因为location限制，想重
做postdoc好像也很难（只能找当地的一所学校），又不太可能因为postdoc的职位（如
果有的话）两地。目前很迷茫，不知自己今后能做些什么。lg到是无所谓，随便我。可
读了那么多年书，做一辈子家庭主妇好像自己又不太心甘。请板上的牛人们指点一下，
我的人生之路该怎么走？其实2年前就想工作，一直没有什么机会。做了这个专业，我

我最近注册了一个自行车的charity ride - Tour De Cure，给American Diabetes
Association募捐，星期六截至。
目前我离自己定的募捐目标还差几十块钱，我的打算是万一周六之前达不到目标，差的
钱就自己出了。今天问了组织者，原来有不少公司有charity match program，就是你
自己出1块，公司match 1块给慈善组织。而且这match的钱也算在你的募捐总额里。
我需要的帮助是：请问哪位朋友的公司有这样的match program？- 要确信能够match
给American Diabetes Association 的捐款。如果可行，我把$25 paypal给你，然后请

发帖数: 2284 | 48 Tour De Cure是一个规模较大的自行车慈善活动－给American Diabetic Association
募捐，善款用于糖尿病的防治和研究。这个charity ride是全国性的。下个月的四号和
五号是北卡分站的活动。
ride的距离有几个选项：family 10 miles（意思意思），40miles loop（起终点都在
Cary的Regency Park)。长距离的是两天150miles或两天200miles，星期六从Cary出发
，到Southern Pines（就是南面那个有很多高尔夫球场的地方）过夜，星期天原路回来。
欢迎喜欢骑车的，喜欢做志愿者的同学请踊跃参加。要参加骑车的，除10miles ride以
外，要求募集最少$175的善款。

research公司做part-time marketing analyst，一边也在找full-time的实习或者全职
工作。以前去过Chicago开会，对这个城市感觉很好，如果有机会也想relocate到那里。
4月1日马上到来了，可以开始新的一年h1-b的申请了，可是我的full-time
position还没有着落，心里比较着急，所以来Chicago版寻求工作推荐和建议，附上自
己的
简历(skill sets and brief experience), 主要想找一些需要SAS,SQL,Excel,Google
Analytics以及其他analytical技能的工作, title大致是Research Analyst/Associate
, Business/Marketing Analyst, SAS Programmer，Survey Specialist，Supply
Chain Analyst等等，我也可以接受full-time的intern。对我而言，现在最重要的就是
