進黨總統候選人蔡英文也名列其中。
《金融時報》指出，蔡英文是目前台灣總統大選的領先者，並介紹了蔡的生長歷程與學
經歷背景。《金融時報》還提及台灣在國際間的尷尬處境，身為台灣主權的支持者，蔡
英文加入民進黨，珍視台灣的民主和自由。
《金融時報》分析，現今執政的國民黨在與中國的關係上，沒有兌現其經濟獲益的承諾
，導致聲望下滑。但蔡英文政治路也非一帆風順，分別在在2010年的新北市市長選舉以
及兩年後的總統大選鎩羽而歸。縱然如此，蔡英文展現出對從政的熱情捲土重來。若勝
