时候我看广告后，叫父母专门在香港给我带回来（后来内地版本也出来了，不过觉得纸
质没有香港版本那么薄和滑），十几年了，陪了我环绕地球一周半。。。我觉得它很好
用，不过可能有感情因素（因为我觉得它算是我最珍贵的身外物了吧）。但因为是英国
人出的字典，虽然有不少刻意的美式英文用法，估计和美国这边的风格还是不大一样。
我还有一本Oxford Learner's Thesaurus，这本的词汇量不大，因此不能作为一般
Thesaurus的替代（不过在这个年代了，也不用专门买一本Thesaurus，电脑上自带的字
典有，此外也可以到m-w.com上看），但是普通词的细微之分别都写得很详尽，爱写平
实英文的，这个字典很不错。我自己的感觉就是，当不知道一样东西如何表达时，尽量
不要用中译英去找那个词，而是从近义词入手一步一步地靠近理想的用法。这个角度而
言，这本字典挺有用的。
此外我还推荐一本American Idioms Dictionary，有时想感觉说话地道些，可以用

劳斯”，看着很轻松倒是；
意文想听懂每个字的话，倒是可以考虑应用一下“磨刀不误砍柴工”的原则，学些意大
利语 101 啥的；我们这里声歌系的本科学生需要必修 意文、法文和德文的 101，然后
有相应的“Italian Diction for Singers”，“French dictation 4 singers”，“
German dictation 4 singers”课程。
前面的 101 不是专给音乐学院的人开的，所以我踅摸着可能一般的外文 101 课程就能
满足这个需求了，然后自己需要表演的话再上专门给声歌系学生开的“dictation”课
程。
我看看下学期有木有时间吧，如果能安排得开，我就去学意大利语 101 ！ |

的根本， 我们CMG有自己的优势，这就是为什么再难的program都有CMG的影子。 这个
现象不会绝迹，因为如果没有这个diversity，美国就不称之美国了。 你的10
