我没看出这个房子有啥大问题。concerns: 1, 离 Reeds Pond 比较近，到Wellesley city查查flooding zone吧 2.没有seperate dining room。 但是这个厨房拉得长，出来一个dining area. 如果你不介意的话，也可以用做dining room.
在市场稍微久的原因也可能是以前价开高了点。在市场上40多天不算多。一些房子开价高，疯狂抢上去的，不一定好。 有些房子开价高了成了滞销不一定不好。

There is an AMC dine-in theater in Menlo Park mall. The Dine-in theater
seats are a lot better than regular movie theater. Also, you can order
drinks and food in the movie. It's quite worth the price. Tickets are

，让她不能坑害后面的人是我的最终目的。
为了避免不必要的麻烦，我将控制我的恶心和愤怒平静地陈述事实，希望从中国来的新

这位房东中国大妈年纪应该在四十几，复姓，其townhouse在26** South Braeswood
Boulevard上，离Medical Center 坐公汽大概十几分钟。此人可能与房客以前有过纠纷
，保护意识很强，以隐私为由，一般不告诉你她的姓名，收取现金后给的收据都不签名
。我在她的house里住了近四个月，也不知道她的确切名字，签lease也只以英文单字母
略过。没有利益纠纷的时候跟你说话相处都还正常。如果有哪位对此人的鉴别有疑问，

我建议买个那种新式floor plan的房子，整体面积不大，但专属房间少的，breakfast
大一点变成casual dining，取消formal dining，family大一点取消living room
media room，大门entrance和garage entrance在一起，share同一个foryer就不用又是
foryer又是mudroom，合理并有效率的最大化运用所有空间。我买的就是这种房子，差
点到3000尺，一层楼，只有3卧2.5卫，一个family一个dining space一个study一个洗
衣房，就没了，可以想像每个空间有多大不，住着感觉没比5000尺的房子小（毕竟5000
尺的房子你也一次性只能待在一个房间里），但感觉很大，随便哪个房间拍张照都以为
是高大上的大豪宅。想想，family room有电视了，再搞一套media，family room的电
视浪不浪费啊，好的餐桌上千，好的餐椅一把好几百，一套下来两三千，干嘛还要早餐

美国(American/Contemporary)
说道美国菜上点档次的地方一般就是steak/seafood还拿的出手。高级一点的会融合一
些其他菜系的元素，不再是纯粹的美菜，所以一般叫Contemporary。
正经的fine dining会有大厨根据时令材料设计菜单，这样的饭馆的菜单一般比较简单
但是经常会变换。不像一般的地方什么时候去都是那一本菜单。

发帖数: 19 | 38 昨天写了一点，得到大家的鼓励，那就接着再来。
昨天谈到吃的问题。呵呵，船上吃的真是不用发愁。早餐从6：30开始，一直吃到11：00
，分别在一个cafe里和dinning room里供应，cafe里的是buffet,dinning room里有人伺
候，东西也比较精致一点，另外还可以叫到屋里来吃。我觉得真是难以接受在屋里吃早餐
，不过有的老美喜欢。午餐中午开始一直到3：30左右，是在一个cafe里进行的buffet，
dinner主要是在dining room 里进行，但是同时也在另一个cafe里提供casual的晚餐，所
以这艘船号称最友好的船。在dining room里吃饭着装相对要求高一些，任何时候不能穿
短裤和t-shirt,但在cafe里就随便地多。不过我的dinner一直是在dining room里享用的
。除此以外，从早上7:00到临晨2：00都有snack bar可以吃东西。吃的东西里出了酒和可
乐之类要另外收费外，其他的如水，冰茶，咖啡等都是免费享用。buffet的品种很多，
snack bar的东西选择少，但是也足够充饥了。可以这么说，在整个cruise期间，肚子基 |

终于轮到讲船上的美食了，我们在船上腐败奢靡的日子已经过去一个多月了，但那些引
人垂涎三尺、食指大动的美食，仿佛依然历历在目。
Emerald Princess上有将近大大小小的餐厅和Bar加起来将近10个。其中，casual的有
pizza bar，ice cream bar；24小时的自助餐厅，Horizon Court & Café Caribe；吃
正餐的Botticelli Dining Room，Da Vinci Dining Room和Michelangelo Dining Room
；更高级的Sabatini’s 和 Crown Grill，这两个餐厅，点餐需要另外加钱，其余所有
餐厅的食物都是免费的。在船上的日子，只有愁胃不够大的，没有愁东西不够吃的。天
天都在过美食节！
我们平均每天吃4-5餐饭，早饭，中饭，下午茶，正式晚餐，夜宵。24小时开放的自助
餐厅里不仅食物种类丰富，而且每天有不同的theme，巴伐利亚风格的，意大利风格的
，亚洲风格的，等等。我们的早饭和中饭一般都是在自助餐厅里解决。早餐有各种各样

发帖数: 538 | 40 anytime确实是不错。但我听说经常要排队，等。向国内的必胜客那样。难得一两次
不要紧，天天这样就有点不舒适了。我还是喜欢能确定位置一来就有的坐那样比较从容。
而early dining和late dining能固定桌子和位置。缺点是不太自由,要安排好时间。
特别是我们shore excursion, early 6点半就开始了，有些来不及，比如玩stingray结
束就6点半，
还要回船上洗澡，换衣服，打扮下，所以我们选8点15的late.
但late的话，有时候又错过7，8点就开始的晚间节目。而且大多时候轮船4，5点就开了，
还是得很早赶回来，其实去6点多的那场刚刚好，离8点15有一大段空，不知道干嘛。
late吃完，一般是看10点多开始的show, 结束都11点多了，会睡的比较迟。
所以带上老人的话一般选择的是early dining,
就算万一错过了early, 还是能去any time的。

意识到常飞计划的好处并开始积攒。这个要多谢当年AA里程卡的普及。我主要飞UA，CO
和AA，就主要介绍一下我和这三个常飞旅客的经历。有些因为年代久远，可能现在有变
化了。希望能和版上的大牛们多多学习。

我飞中美主要选择UA，因为UA在SF转机的时间最好，也最舒服，虽然飞机烂了点。用UA
换过几次机票，还是不错的。
我攒UA的方法有：
1.飞，不过自从用了onepass以后就都攒在continental了。
2.在fidelity开户给2w5 需要有5w的deposit,不过不需要5w, 只要在存款栏有5w的总和
就可以了。用的是1w存入存出搞定的。我还误操作用了没有1w的账户fund了我fidelity
的账户，结果银行账户来回charge了我几次收不到钱。但是误打误撞满足了5w的
deposit的要求，罚的手续费也被我argue回来了。fidelity对aa,ua都有这个类似的
promotion。

这一类第一家要推荐的是Mr. B’s Bistro.
(201 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130).位于French Quarter 以内，Canal
Street 和Royal street 交界处的第二个Block，很容易找到。
推荐理由：BBQ shrimp. 每个人到这里都会点这道菜，因为它是Mr.B所出的烹调书的封
面菜。中午饭这道菜是$21.00, 绝对可以吃饱。而且味道很惊艳。很多老美同事每次来
吃都会多要一份面包，把汤汁都沾完吃。如果两人来吃，我还推荐一道pasta
jambalaya $16.50. Pasta 是加入菠菜制成的绿色Pasta，而且jambalaya的肉和汤汁一
点都不咸，反而美味适口。我对于Creole cuisine 最大的不满就是太咸，反而这家餐
厅的Creole cuisine满足了咸淡适口，回味悠长的感受。两人餐后再Share 一份三个球

发帖数: 141625 | 46 我想起来还没让你看我家的那幅油画，配什么画框好。我去找找画。我们房子的前主人
是做中国研究的，墙上倒是挂满中国国画农民画工笔画等等，很鲜明中国特色。我是觉
得墙上挂一两样有特点的东西就很烘托气氛了。墙纸现在美国不太流行哎，比较老式的
家里有，新家装饰好像都不用。我最怀念的是我小舅结婚时自己装修小房间，用两块抹
布随手团一下，各蘸蓝色绿色往墙上拍，拍出来一朵朵蓝绿的花，还带布纹的纹理，很
自然漂亮又手工有感情。
你要不要拍一下你家墙上的各种装饰？地毯清理起来是很麻烦，夏天还热。
对，formal dining room也有用作家庭影院的。我家的formal dining room和living
room是打通的，现在是小孩的溜冰场，哈哈。
你说的那个formal dining room我也一直想弄一个
就是那种家里自己的休闲娱乐中心，可以自己弄一套家庭影院的那种
