福特还是太老实，不知道可以只在一侧用铁墩，不知道改一下手册、换个oil dipstick
就可以不管机油增多，像这个方向盘的recall，两田的标准做法是每个车主发一管
loctite，也就两刀成本 |

longer. So cost does add up.
If you got a new mower, remember to change oil after first 5 hours of use.
Very important:
Check oil level regularly.
Fill to mark on dipstick. DO NOT OVERFILL.
Air-cooled engines burn about an ounce of oil per cylinder, per hour. |

外，谁把机器摆平的，踹他/她两脚。
To correct the problem, set the machine upright and level. Check
the oil and make sure the oil level is between the full and add mark on the
dipstick. Check the condition of the air filter. Replace it if it is dirty
or wet. Wipe away any oil that is dripping from the air filter area. It is
safe to run the engine now. Expect the engine to smoke profusely for about 5

外边换有不同油的选择，价格不同。同种油不同店的质量应该区别并不大。
很多人并不注意，外边换最大的问题就是经常加多了。高中毕业的小混混只是徒省事，
他们批发来的油又便宜。所以经常不按你手册标准加准确量，而且他们没耐心让旧油多
流一会儿。加多了也不好，否则标尺不会有两个刻度。每次在外面换我都提醒他们：

6 trips to dealership service at Piazza Honda the Service Mgr Tony kept

管用，哈哈。
去搞点大纪元，攒着擦脏东西。
对了，赚到车底才发现，变速箱漏。之前换油地方说过几次我没搭理他们，看样子确实
漏了，整个油盘都是黑乎乎的油渍，摸上去还挺新鲜的。我这车变速箱不提供dipstick
，也不在引擎附近提供变速箱的加油口。manual上还认为变速箱油不需要换，不过看在
换挡没有任何问题的情况下，挺着吧。估计是去年买车后第一个修车铺子给我flush变
速箱后搞出来的问题。 |

，只是修起来很费labor。。。如果能diy那就很省钱了。
但是呢，如果没滴答滴答的漏，不用管。可能只是seal worn了。我曾经式过添加剂，
不好使。

problem. The oil pressure may be low because of a worn or broken oil pump, a
plugged oil pickup screen in the engine's crankcase, possibly a plugged oil
filter or excessive bearing wear. Or, the oil pressure may be fine but the
oil pressure sending unit has failed. Further diagnosis will be required to
determine what's wrong.

差不多了, 想把PLUG 拧紧, 谁知道PLUG 已经松到马上掉下来的程度, 手指一碰就掉下

The fluid level you checked probably is the power steering fluid level, on
the front drive side. To check the transmission level on Passat is NOT as easy
as the usual. Since VW considers the transaxle as a sealed unit, there is no
conventional check dipstick in the engine bay. There is a check plug which
can be accessed from below the transaxle.

我原来以为他们会给我500-800,但他们直接给我开价1500.最终给我算了2000.
这车有很多小地方要修补了.这两年总体还算皮实,没给我添太多麻烦.不过电池灯亮就
意味着麻烦该来了.如果还留着的话,我要开始修车了.
cv joint和brake pad都要换了,前面两个rotor也要换了.
今天再加上电池灯亮了.
另外车子的四个角都被老婆在加油站蹭过有刮花,frame也因此有一点点歪,大概歪1毫米
(自己从hood前面看的).
最主要的是我觉得transmission 1->2档开始有点不smooth了,不知道换ATF能不能解决
这个问题.应该从来没换过atf.这车没有atf dipstick.
如果transmission没什么问题的话,其他开着还行吧,AC也很凉(前两档坏了,只能开3,4,
5档,所以很冷,哈哈).
还有我曾在highway上以70+的速度撞了一桶鱼,radiator的holder有点裂.
优点是两个前胎是firestone的新胎只有5000miles,后面俩胎也 |

车是jetta，前轮驱动。atf是vw专用的，应该不会有问题。
今天把车jack了起来，把automatic transmision的filter换了。换完以后可能是液体
量不对（要么加多了，要么少了一些，因为jetta的01m tranny没有dipstick，只有个
plug，所以我不知道量到底对不对），轮子空转的时候换档transmission响声很大，车
前后振动也不小。然后abs 和 brake light亮了。brake light应该是因为我手刹拉着
（安全起见）。还有车打到倒车档，mps表转速不稳定，有一次突然跳到40 mpg（我没
踩油门）。
把车放下来上路开了开没有什么感觉，换档也没有声音了。abs在开了一阵子后突然灭
了。

。最近出现点问题。早上刚启动车出停车场，先r后d档，换d档后（稍微有点路不平，
上坡），车下面transmission出现 “咣当”一声，然后突然加速（我没有使劲踩油门
）。这种情况指出现在刚开车的时候，中途没有问题。请问是什么原因？是因为换了好
的atf，还是因为量不合适？有没必要找dealer给看看？

论知识有限，不敢发言。Anyway，很久前我奔过我的 MB E430，后来被人反向车道迎头
head on，车子没事，但是body 修起来比较贵（那时车已经不值钱了），所以
insurance total 在2010 年到现在开的是 ML430。这车1999的，不过excellent
condiiton,非常reliable。四年来只换了后刹车，电池，一个 crank shaft posiiton
sensor 和 oil filter housing seal，一点毛病都没有。
不过个人还是有点怀念 sport sedan的感觉，2月前买了 2004 BMW 745i sport。Sorry
，本人吊死一个，虽然钱也够，总喜欢捡便宜折腾。于是卖掉了ML430，手上只有这辆
745了。可能因为没做功课的原因，也可能原来的两辆MB质量太好，接手这辆 745后毛
病不断。Test drive 的时候没问题，再加上第二任车主有 extended warranty 不久前

Could be the PCV system blockage. However, I highly suspect it's because of
the aging of the cover gasket rather than high crankcase pressure. Because
if it's the later, you will mostly get leaking from shaft seals rather than
cover gasket.
One easy way to check if you have higher than normal crankcase pressure is
to remove the oil dipstick while engine is running. Y |

way to check the oil level is through the onboard computer.
I googled "335i oil consumption." It seems that the 3-series consumes oil at
all kinda of rates. My 1 quart/5000 miles seems to be within the normal
range. But I agree it's a good idea to check with the dealer.
