pd does have D J9xx. Declarer has HAQx, but as you guys analyzed, this is
not important.
The fact is that pd has every weak hand, you have possible entry and long
club. No one likes to discard the long club at this situation. This hand is
from a Vugraph. West at both tables discarded a spade, which is obviously
wrong according to JO :)
The commentator said it is "obvious" to discard a heart, since declarer

SQ, or 3-3, but found east holding QT fifth (he did not pitch any on D!).

it. Every time you roll the die 3 times, and discard any other patterns.
A better way is to use all sets (6 choose 3 -> 20). Then you can create a
map of permutation to number (1-6). Also discard any other patterns.
A more efficient way might be to create uniform 0,1 function first. Here you
can also use permutation: roll a die twice, 0 if first roll < second roll
and 1 if first roll > second roll. discard ties.
