？怎么来评估一只老鼠是否是彻底的KO呢？因为发现有一个gene的KO mice，是利用在
其两个exons之间插入另一个不相关的gene，来使其原蛋白丧失功能，研究发现此KO无
任何生理改变，一般行内都会就此得出结论说此蛋白对生物体来说是dispensable的吗
？但是后续有研究又发现，此KO mice体内有好几种此蛋白的变异体（由不同的exons变
换组合而成），而且KO和非KO的变异体种类和数目还略有差别。那这种还可以称之为KO
吗？还可以说此蛋白是dispensable的否？因为关于变异体的来源众说纷纭，有人还发
现有独特的mRNA对应于不同的变异体。所以也无法就确定说变异体就是由此蛋白的gene

lost their jobs because automation was coming along in the 70's when he
graduated, but apparently he is still dispensing in 21st century. The thing

我在医院只是tech，医院里面tech和pharmacist做的事情完全不一样。说白了，我们主
要是干体力活，pharmacist主要就是check，check and check，会和医生讨论dosage，
会根据不同病人的lab test调整剂量（好像有专门一个软件算dosage的）。医生，护士
有什么用药方面需要咨询的，也会问药剂师。我们医院的药剂师是每天都rotate，有些
在central pharmacy 负责check 所有药剂科dispense的药物，包括dispense到医院不
同campus的药物和其他satellite pharmacy的药物。大部分药剂师是去不同的floor，
比如CCU, CTSU,OR,PU，pediatric。。。。我知道的也就这么多，毕竟还没有shadow过
他们。这方面还是请教版内在医院做药剂师的。

美国的办公室无论是政府的还是公司的，都有那么一种通病：大手大脚，挥霍浪费，特
别体现在电、水、纸这些方面。除了我说的反季节空调，我们单位的灯几乎从来不关，
24小时灯火通明。打印机哗啦啦成天响，很多时候打完了才发现不对，又重新打，从来

front type". There is an exception for toilets with an automatic toilet-seat
