我修ball mark,fairway上的divot不太修，主要是我平时走路比较多，脚踩踩就完了。
bunker都看情况的， 如果时间多了就平，而我一般都是super twilight才去打球，所
以.....
我local的几家course都不是well-maintained,所以就不是上心。

发帖数: 1656 | 6 I am learning to take a divot with my iron shots. It seems in order to have the iron head traveling in "V" shape, the key is to put the weight on my left foot and squeeze my left foot into the ground as soon as I start my down swing.
For woods, it appears I need to have the head traveling in "U" shape to sweep the ground. To do that, I gradually move my weight center from right foot to left foot during down swing.
Is that understanding right? |

position before each shot. turned out at beginning i hit majority of shots
fat, divot mostly before the ball...
then i adjusted my swing... then most divot now behind the ball or starts
from the ball...
suddenly most of wedges shot fly over green and have to re-establish my feel
of wedge distance....
feel like that solid contact starts with checking divot,
key is to have some feedback... know what's going on...

sessions at the driving range to be able to get that feeling but it goes
away if I don't practice for a while. Maybe its my fear of injury with the
Texas hard-pan, that keeps me from consistantly taking divots pass the ball.
I really hate it when I see my divot starts behind the ball (fat) or no
divot at all (thin).
Anyone knows any drill to quickly re-create the feeling ? |

and long, say 3 to 4 inches, with a V shape swing your divot would be short,
1 to 2 inches, and deep. |

发帖数: 1656 | 12 我也是一开始照这个练，我的包里面还带着 Hogan 这本书，经常在 range 拿出来对照。
我最开始调的是打driver 的球位。我发现driver 球位不够靠前的话容易打高炮，就是
driver 触球时还在向下，结果driver上沿触球，有很明显的 skymark.
然后发现同样道理也适用3 5 号木， 就是击球点应该已经过了swing 的最低点。所以3
5 号木的球位也要向前。相应的3 5 号木打出来的divot 应该很小几乎没有， 是扫过
（sweep）地面。
铁杆的话击球点一定没有过swing 的最低点。 所以会有 divot.杆越短divot 越明显。
我的wedge 经常铲出好大一块草。 |

What kind of animal would dig up a lawn?
This morning I found a huge patch of my lawn in my front yard all dug up.
Not huge holes, but a lot of small ones about an inch deep and a inch wide.
There was about 80 of them all in about a 3 foot circle.. I don't know if it
was some jerk kid, or an animal. I wouldn't think some kid would spend that
much time doing that, so it leads me to believe it was some kind of animal.
. Any ideas?

2. Position yourself so that the ball is closer to your back foot.
3. Use a flop wedge, also known as a 60-degree wedge. A sand wedge can be
used in an emergency.
4. Swing the club on a steeper plan (more upright).
5. Hit directly underneath the ball before taking a divot. Take a divot
that is long and shallow.
6. Follow through normally.

Usually the data is not supposed to be based on a phenomenal performance,
but on a consistent base.
and the distance is supposed to be measured by divot to divot - all carry
distance.
I don't think there are too many players to really measure the distance 'coz
they gotta have some rangefinder telescope stuff to give the exact distance.
But i still like to provide my data: 260 yards all carry. My 3-wood goes as
far as my driver which does upset me. So I |

发帖数: 977 | 20 我也很头疼我的inconsistency的问题，偶尔打的好感觉很爽，但很快又失去感觉。所
以我的看法也就是纸上谈兵，咱们交流一下。divot behind ball有两个原因，一是重
心向前不够，二是没能keep lag,iron过早release.我想你应该打的不错，所以不应该
是重心问题。那就应该是release过早，导致bottom out过早，造成divot behind ball
or hit thin. 这种情况下如果地很硬很容易伤手腕，因为impact时手在club head后
面，震荡都传到手上了。假设你swing的各个环节都掌握的不错，那就可能是grip太紧
，导致右手手腕紧张，down swing时过早使力，失去lag.可以试试放松grip and wrist
,把手腕当成一个使不上劲的轴，这样能最大限度保持lag,手过了球clubhead才触球。
我看过一篇文章觉得很有启发，尤其是关于pingman的那一段，（http://perfectgolfswingreview.net/power.htm）很好的解释了这个问题，文章里有pingman的swing video |

于长铁，HYBRID的loft小，divot会比中短铁要浅的多，不需要追求深的divot，能保持

杆时延展右臂。 这样的结果是经常有一点点fade.
教练指出这样在收杆时，我的两臂会平行于两眼，divot 会稍稍向左。长铁杆容易先打
到地。。。以及其他种种问题。
如果在击球时稍微旋转双臂，使得右手收在左手和眼睛之间，divot方向就正过来了。(
这一条的原因我现在还没想清楚)。 左手立腕也就容易做到。 |

played before, and just want to learn the game.
at least two benefits: (1) very low cost, and after a while, you might have
an idea on what clubs you want; (2); focus on one club, and focus more on

多在正面来影响别人。打球的中国人不多，大家在球场上所树立的除了自我以外，还有
一个种族的形象。韩国球友总体的口碑就不够好，我想也未必是每个人都没有
etiquette，但是有一些人破坏了整体的名誉。

Average golfer struggles with running into the green, spends a little time
on reading green 'coz someone like scratcher is awaiting, and putts the ball
which usually is far away from the pin in the rush, and tries to make it
close, ususally it takes more putts to make the task done.
Scratcher can always take time, always be patient.......
I am not trying to against your advice. It's definitely a good idea to make

我也同意你的话，咱们是该为我们民族形象考虑。 我们这儿韩国人多 － 靠，那儿都
多，要是别人认为我是韩国人，我都不客气的迅速纠正我是中国人。
但韩国人golfer丫就是不好.我就没见过好的，一个毛病就是鸟。
打得稍微好得很鸟，打得特差还自我感觉特好。
－ 看到一提韩国人我多激动就知道我多讨厌这个民族了吧。
近期的2次打球，虽然没对我显示啥不尊敬的，我打得比他们好多了，但就是不习惯他
们那方式。 和美国本土人打球多好玩，好玩无所谓，能开很多玩笑，还能自我解嘲，

了。击球感觉很不好，回到了以前球老左偏的状态。看看地上的DIVOT还行，就是球TM
的走偏。6号铁，180YARD，能偏出去4.5度。以前是因为上杆的时候太靠里，今天注意
了，还是偏。又没带摄像机，连动作错哪都不知道。这东西才扔下2个星期就不行了，

to tell the contact. Attach moistured baking soda to the club face. You can
easily tell your contact. Also, practice real grass, and the divot tells
where you hit the grass, and your correct ball position. |

发帖数: 247 | 37 我的Swing变了。 原来腿站的比较直， 手腕向上挺，手臂距离身体较远， 现在腿稍弯， 手腕下压。手臂自然下垂， 感觉
更舒服些。 原来只有短杆打出divot, 现在长，短杆都能打出。 距离也远一些， 5
iron 175， 4 iron 接近200， 是距离， 不是 carry over. 方向基本很直。
现在还处于巩固提高阶段， fat shot 比以前多， 3-wood slice 较多。 总之， 还是
感觉不错。 看看那天练好了打一场， 自从105之后还没打过。
其实我并没有主观上想改， 只是突然间原来的那一套不好使了， 只好慢慢琢磨， 这
个过程非常frustrated. |

interference?
另外我在想，站在沙地上，脚下可能的打滑是不是也会影响击球，这是不是也是要加

Here is a checklist for you when you enter the dreaded fairway bunker:
1. Take one or two extra clubs.
2. Place the ball a little farther back in stance than normal.
3. Dig in a little (sand is slippery if you don't get to the bottom of it
!) - 这个是说脚要dig in吧？
4. Now for the fun part'swing while keeping your lower body as still as
possible.
另一tip里，说是要clean shot, 根本最好不要碰到砂子，不要想打出个divot. 距离
上打个25%的折扣。

昨天有两个球都是这样，进了离green将近150的deep rough, 不甘心想拼一下，用长一
号的iron, full swing攻green，看divot应该没有mis-hit，但是球的距离只有平时的
一半。看来草的影响非常大的说。

My lesson is -- find good coaching, or if DIY, make make sure oneself
understand the swing and what are the possible injuries and how to avoid
them.
Understand the swing may take 1 or 2 month, I guess. Before that, if try to
play, swing very easy… don't try to hit long… watch divots.
My expericne of learning golf is brutal trial and error, at cost of some
injuries.
Initially I thought golf is a good sport to play when getting older. It is

发帖数: 19471 | 47 赛程过半。早晨跟同事打了一个一个Par 29的9洞场，得到43杆，居然还是最好的一个
分数。很郁闷，同一个场地和设置上礼拜打了35。今天前五洞基本是搞笑，没有GIR，
数个double chip, 3 and 4 putts, 还straight pull入水一球。惨不忍睹。后四洞感
觉来了，一个par, 两个bogey, 最后一洞110码，直接用pitching wedge开到洞口5尺，
一推进洞得鸟。最得意的shot是一个在树和沙坑狭窄夹缝中的20-yard chip with 56
degree wedge，按计划bounce后借slope滚到距洞口10尺左右，2 putted and saved
par.
下午4点去上课，老师主要点拨了三条：
1，grip左手还要更nuetral.
2, take away 要进一步stay on the line
3, 要进一步通过锁定膝盖和plant right heel来保证stay in the center, 以尽量把
下半身锁住。
遵循以上几条，今天六号杆比较solid的时候可以上165码外的果岭，但是divot还不够
好，spin |

To divot: Thank you very much for your advice. I sold my practice round
tickets very cheap, will only go watch from Thur-Sun. I think it is probably
better to watch pro play closely in practice round. 7 days maybe too much
for us...
To rustonewall: Like ET said, probably you will see pro play more clear and
