著姐：甭废话？不会吧... 美国示威者可不象北京老百姓那样乖乖任城管施暴，才不吃
“甭废话”那一套。我那年也目睹了占领华尔街。警察是用了一些武力清除了游行示威

在路上
--做不完的家务杂事，为了修房修空调修下水管，打电话联系contractors，请假一天
陪同，割草除冰扫落叶吸尘防霉。大量浪费能源，但是冷天仍然只有70度，热天却高达
90度。

Doughnuts and Coffee店里买过。室友向我推荐说那里的甜甜圈啊如何如何好吃。后来
去了店里看到人家用油现炸的。油炸出来之后，再裹了一层层厚厚的糖霜，还有巧克力
霜，看得我当时就感觉自己要溢出来了一样。

我每次做完都是中间塌陷。于是乎买了个模子，结果人家照样塌，越凉越塌，恨不得变
成doughnut（或者RBC）……
做了十多次了，次次都如此。幸好味道不错，都被收拾掉了。
方子是那个0失败戚风的方子
1.面粉大概3/4 cup (面粉就是普通的那种all purpose), 淀粉1/4cup，糖大概2大勺，
鸡蛋黄6个。baking powder一小勺，
一点点盐。
2.在面粉碗里加1/3cup的水，1/3cup的油。然后用手动打蛋器搅匀至无颗粒。
3.蛋清单独放到另外一个大碗里，要特别注意保持大碗无水无油。加一点点白醋，有助
于打发。
4.蛋清打发到起泡状态时加入2大勺糖，继续打发至图中所示状态，即不流动。
5.把打发好的蛋白舀入说明2中的蛋黄面粉浆中，稍加混匀即可。
6. 做戚风所用的烤盘很关键，不可用有不沾层的烤盘。最佳烤盘为铝制烤盘或玻璃烤
盘，形状无所谓，想用方的就用方的，想用圆的用圆的。倒入蛋糕液前在蛋糕底部放入
一个茶匙的面粉，稍加抹散即可，然后倒入蛋糕液。
7.把烤盘轻轻在桌上掂几下，目的是出去中间的空气，做出来的蛋糕中间就不会有大洞

城里的海鸥， 鸽， 和麻雀自幼吃西餐长大， 尤其喜欢吃甜点心。那些极甜的面食，
我难以下咽， 鸟却喜欢吃， 像直径３厘米的球形的Doughnuts， 海鸥一口吞一颗，
连吞五六颗。
海殴争强好胜， 每有食物， 必把鸽和麻雀赶走自己独食， 海鸥之间也争， 职位高的
海鸥驱赶职位低的海鸥， 官职小的海鸥被赶时会不情愿地走开， 但我从没见海鸥之间
打架。
鸽则是一声不吭去吃， 被海鸥赶的时候就回避一下， 但找机会趁海鸥照看不过来时去
捡点面包碎。 麻雀则是捡海鸥和鸽剩下的碎渣吃。
很多流浪汉喂鸟， 看似海鸥和鸽都认识人， 对熟悉的人靠得近些， 对不认识的人保
持的距离远些。
我只在昨天喂过一次鸟， 它们都不认识我， 海鸥与我保持２。５米以上距离， 鸽和
我保持１５厘米以上距离， 麻雀则和我保持０。８米以上距离。 它们不敢吃离我低于
这些距离的食物。
鸽们显然认识一个流浪汉， 径直走到坐着的流浪汉的两脚之间地上去捡食， 流浪汉突

Confirmation of loud sounds this morning came from the Nuclear and
