你看1929年一共掉了89%,那么Dow从14200下来也就到2000点，甚至更低。
说这句话的时候，你有真正思考过吗？
每一次衰退，如果你仔细看，都有一个"Bubble"伴随,2000年是Internet,
2007是金融，1929年的Bubble，因为太久远，大家就忽略了。其实那时候的
Bubble是铁路和钢铁，因此当时的Dow 成分股大部分都是跟这两个行业相关的，
打个比喻，就像如果今天的Dow成份股都是由金融相关的公司组成，那么今天的
DOW早就3000点以下了，DOW在2000年掉的远远没有纳斯达克狠，因为技术股
是当年的bubble。
如果把金融分开作为一个像纳斯达克一样的指数，其实已经掉的很惨，
不信你可义分析一下XLF,或者^BIX, SP 500的Bank Index,已经从高峰的400多点
掉到40多点，差不多90%没有了。IBM的高峰是130多块，你能想象IBM掉到13吗？
我是想象不到。所谓冤有头，债有主，市场是永远正确的。
当然我也可能是错的，如果真发生了，大家尽量把这个挖出来鞭打。

不知这理论是否合时宜, 现在美国工业日益衰退, 运输业也不能反应经济好坏. 东西都

和R&H的deal敲下来后，科威特那边退出了。问题是科威特那边律师合同做的比较好，
退了也没什么负担。可Dow因为急着和R&H签协议，合同上没留后路。结果就给吊在半空

本来和科威特要合作一个ethylene工厂，dow还指望科威特政府的几个billion的
payment作为购买R&H的一部分资金，结果人家不合作了，这部分钱也没有了
尽管dow说科威特毁约也没有关系，资金还是够得，不影响收购进程，不过股民还是不
乐观， 再加上收购R&H后，关了一些厂， layoff一些人， 大家就更没有信心，所以哐
当又掉了一大截。
还有一个仅仅是本人的猜测，本来在中国投资的十几个billion的煤转气的项目，目前
来讲，前景应该不乐观。现在原油那么低，煤液化或气化的成本就比原油贵了。那个项
目做feasibility研究的时候，正是原油价格最高的时候，他们那时候也不会预测到原
油会降那么低吧。

-weekly initial claim (seasonal adjusted)
-moving average of weekly initial claim
本来initial claim一直在下降，可是这两周却开始上扬。我认为这是market开始悲观
的一个重要支
持。moving average 比每周的数值得看。不过如果下周或下下周数据又降下去了，市
场可能有回
升。
重要的Initial claim level: 400K.(如低于它，recession risk 低）

Just how low can stocks go?
Despite Friday's small gain, the Dow Jones Industrial Average marked its
fourth consecutive week of losses as it tumbled through the 7000-point mark
and spiraled to new 12-year lows. The Standard & Poor's 500-stock index is
trading below 700 for the first time since 1996.
As earnings estimates are ratcheted down and hopes for a quick economic fix
