总觉得开车长途旅行是一件很浪漫的事情，当然路上不免有艰难险阻，但是毕竟是比起
骑毛驴进京赶考的时代还是完全不一样了。特别是在美国呆长了，总觉得长途开车吗，
只要不上错高速公路，带上一个好的GPS，沿途总是有麦当劳和汽车旅馆的。我没有中
国的驾照，没有在中国开过车，更别提驾车长途旅行了，但是，总认为除了路况差点，
别的应该大同小异吧。全错！
上个星期拿到一本何伟的《Country Driving》，看看一个外国人在中国开车走遍全国
的经历，长了不少见识。

最近想去拉斯维加斯玩，因为要去大峡谷，想租一个皮实一点儿的、有4-wheel drive
的车。
但是如果租f150的话，我记得很多地方都有“no truck”的样子，会不会不让我开到酒
店呀？
另外，4-wheel drive还有哪些选项？排除suv（太贵）。现在我是在avis主页上找，
Hyundai accent, Ford Focus, Nissan Atima, Chev Impala, 这些都不是 4-wheel
drive吧?? |

自从10月31号在virginia收到张reckless driving的超速ticket以来，我就一天没安心
过。因为在弗州超速抓的很严，我这种ticket上写着在55mile的限速区开到81mile 的
，无论是超速20mile还是速度超过80mile都足以判罪reckless driving。而这种罪行属
于轻微犯罪，严重的可能被判最多坐一年牢，吊销驾照也是很常见的。最后虽然过程很
忐忑，但判决结果终归不错，只罚了150块钱，没有扣点。
回想过去这段日子，从两个月前去弗州森林公园的路上被抓，对这黑人警察战战兢兢的
说自己第一次超速，到现在刚与该警察对簿公堂，从法官那开开心心的听到自己的判决

圣诞节那天跟我妈开车去玩，说话说的太高兴，没主意速度，在speed limit 70 的高
速上开了88。 结果被pull over,
给了reckless driving，在VA州traffic law 很严厉，超过80就是reckless driving.
不过可以不上法庭，认罪付罚款就
可以。 但是问了朋友，reckless driving 在这个州是很严重的，算是criminal
record，跟贩毒一个级别。 我担心有犯
罪纪录，也担心我车的保险涨很多。于是google找了一个当地的律师替我出庭 （这个
律师办公室就在法院对面，呵
呵，感觉应该地面很熟, 他也跟我说他认识那个开单的警察）。 1。29日他代表我上了
庭，结果变成 non-moving violation, 罚款加上上庭费，总共285。还有律师费250。
总体感觉就是花钱买个安心，怎么觉得就是法院，警察，律师联合起来利用这个机会赚
一票。 |

2. Reading Mac formatted zip disk on PC is impossible.
3. You can r/w 100M disk in 250M drive, but writing 100M disk
in 250M drive is extremely slow. Yeah, I mean extremely.
4. R/W 250M disk in 100M drive is impossible.
My recommendation is to get a IDE 100M zip drive if your Mac is
a new G3 with IDE interface. If you mac use SCSI, then you have
to pay more. |

来实时conversion and stream。
有没有什么app可以直接从shared drive（win7）,或者说NAS上的samba／nfs drive上
stream无conversion的1080p？。
假设全gigabit有线网络 + 300Mbps N的无线网。
conversion费资源啊，而且不能跨平台。比如用一个很弱的netbook／atom机器做的下
载机，电影全在上面，live consersion 机器吃不消。但一般用gigabit网络就可以轻
松传1080p，相于network dirve而已。
还有就是很多下载／储存用的NAS，基于linux／freedsb／opensolaris等，无法装特殊
的live conversion server啊。
所以直接看samba／nfs／network drive里的original video file 多方便。就像mac

件都存在里面，现在打开硬盘电源，电脑(windows 7)不认识这个硬盘，给出的error
message 是

storage device has a driver problem
更新了driver, 不行。换了台电脑，不行。都是同样的error message.
打开enclosure, 取出hard drive, 买了新的hard drive enclosure, 放入hard drive,
还是不行，还是同样的error message.
求建议，怎样能把硬盘的数据取出来，谢谢。 |

modification, I can't save it back to the network drive. It always fails.
However I can "save as" it back to the network drive with a different
name.

发帖数: 34 | 17 电脑可以 detect 到 USB drive 被接入， 但是进入USB Drive 发现没有显示任何文
件， 查看USB drive 的Properties/属性， 发现有200M的Used Space已用空间，
RIGHT CLICK USB Drive, 进行 "Scan for Viruses" 发现自己以前存的文件，同时使
用"Open as Protalbe media device" 可以看到自己以前存的文件，但是都打不开。

I had a Seagate drive having same symptoms.
Try to freeze the drive within a sealed zip bag in your refrigerator for 24
hours and bless, then try it as a secondary drive when it is cold. If it
works fine, you can get everything back. Backup your data ASAP. Otherwise,
buy a new drive. |

Problem: I need to use the student ID to log in computers at my office. It takes around 15 minutes to log in the system. The same goes with the log-offs. But my friends do not have such problems. The difference is that I saved many files (pdfs, docs, etc.) in the folder C:\user\*** but my friends do not.
IT staff's explanation: My files have to be downloaded from the server each time I log in.

personal files have to be downloaded from the sever every time I log in, and
uploaded to the server every time I log off.
I found a deal in sandisk flash drive, 16G, which is enough for me. But I am
not sure if I should buy a hard drive, or a flash drive for this purpose.

no way to write into it. Originally I thought it is caused by dying drive.
But this is the second time for this to happen and this time it is actually
a new drive. Of course, USB drive is cheap and I can certainly buy another

发帖数: 3668 | 31 说白了，fusion drive就是自动帮你把经常用的文件放到ssd上，省掉了用户自己分类
文件的步骤。但同时也会引入些问题。
经常把数据在ssd和hdd之间转移，这样的话，就会增加ssd的读写次数降低寿命。因为
还包含了hdd，所以抗震性就不如ssd，不太适合mobile设备。这样一来，fusion drive
的寿命会比单纯的ssd和hdd都短。而且无法单独更换ssd或hdd，要换就得一起换。
总的说了，fusion drive就是个折衷得办法，只适合那些不会自己升级部件的人，也只
适合非mobile的电脑。所以只有mac mini和imac适合。windows这边大部分人都是有自
主升级需求的，fusion drive不会有人买账。 |

when resuming from suspend, the scsi drive will be changed from /dev/sda to
/dev/sdg, thus the root which is mounted on /dev/sda1 is missing and the
system hangs.
i am using dev uuid in the fstab. i think when resuming and reload the file
system, the mtab is used, and mtab does not use uuid but device name. so
when the dev name get screwd, everything goes wrong.
right now the work around is i have to put the root in a sata drive, and

我的flash drive电脑系统不能识别了。早上还好好的，拔下来，下午在插上去就没反
应了。我试了好几台其他的电脑，也是一样，所以应该是flash drive damage乐。可怜
我所有的文件都在上面，也没有在硬盘里备份。大家知道有什么文件复原软件，可以恢
复里面的文件么？ 我不知道现在的情况下，系统无法识别有这么一个移动盘，还有什
么办法可以复原里面的文件么？ |

我相信大公司，所以更愿意 google和ms，但是google好像国内被墙。
ms的其实挺不错的，尤其是其office兼容性最好。不过好像很多人不太喜欢。
google docs升级成google drive感觉很不习惯，说实话不是很喜欢Google drive
另外box.net 50G,新浪微盘也15G了，百度网盘15G，360网盘36G。
如果你喜欢用的话，都可以。 |

XP reports that USB mass storage device was inserted and is working, but drive
doesn't show up in drive list.

07年的时候跟dallas的俱乐部出去越野，有个改装店的TJ改成了小卡，换上了HEMI5.7L
引擎，dealer的老板告诉我这个是drive-by-wire的，5速自动档，应该还是克莱斯勒那
个5速变速器。
结果丫去爬坡，就见丫猛往坡上冲，不带停，我正感叹好生猛，丫前轮搭上块石头，翻
了下来。司机后来说drive train malfunction，停不下来，我估计跟丰田这个一个德
行。
看见你们说没有真的drive-by-wire的车，那这个老板说的是大家说的那种drive-by-
wire的么？ |

不过还没有T5 drive-e AWD...... 不知道2017会不会有...... T5 drive-e 虽然动力
