不知不觉和这只英獒Duke已经呆了一个星期了。
短短几天定时定点的喂食跟跑和爱抚，他现在对我百依百顺，见了我就像见了亲密爱人
一样摇尾巴扑过来，用鼻子拼命拱我，把口水流我一身……汗…………
我发现养狗就像养女朋友一样，列出一下七点理由，
一，你必须喂饱它/她，而且得准时！
二，你必须无微不至地照顾它/她 - 拥抱，并且帮它/她梳毛
三，你必须每天至少一个小时和它/她在一起
四，溜狗和做爱一样，都会消耗大量体力[不过我安慰自己，习惯了就好了？]
五，在事毕之后，都得赶快去洗澡[是，可怜我还得洗衣服…]
六，有了狗狗/女朋友，你就得cancel别人的约会[我已经推掉一个party了]
七，最重要的一点，狗狗和女朋友都是可以骑的[笑]。有图为证在下面哦~
事实上，我一开始完全是出于责任和义务来照顾Duke，并且他的长相not my cup of
tea，简单说就是太大太傻。我总以为像我这样的女孩子，会养贵妇犬或者chihuahua那
样的小型犬。然而天意不可违，也许我的生命中就会出 |

怕他脱水。
中午艳阳高照，我想这样子下去我自己都要脱水，于是高呼：
回家了下船了……
DUKE：就是不出去，看你怎么样……[我真是在旁边急死了，可他就是不下船]
救星 – 港湾工作人员出现 – 开始用蛮力拖狗。
拔河比赛正式开始！加油加油！！！
比赛结果：工作人员输
工作人员再次英勇出场！！！
特殊道具：麻袋+黑色塑料袋。
这次在特殊道具的帮助，200lbs的狗终于被成功地拖到船甲板外…………
头上巨汗淋漓，狗也异常彷徨。
真要回家了，Duke居然恋恋不舍。这别扭孩子…………
似乎在问我，妈妈我们什么时候再回来看看？

I am very sorry to inform you of the tragic death of Zhaochun Xu in a
car accident last night at approximately 1130 pm. The accident
occurred on 15-501 Bypass near the Erwin Road exit. Reports
are that Zhaochun's car was rear-ended and went down the embankmant.
He was taken immediately to Duke hospital but subsequently
died at 2 am. He is survived by his wife, Yuan Liu, who was
not seriously injured in the accident, but has been admitted
to Duke hospital.

觉有些弱，DUKE在国内名头倒是响不少。所以基本觉得去DUKE了，但是想和他们商量一
下能否象征性的给点奖安慰安慰？很多人都是拿着peer school的奖学金去argue的，我
拿的是1 tier lower的奖学金去negoetiate，不知道胜券几何？应该去和admission
office谈呢，还是financial aid谈？ |

The strength of MIT: Brand name, consulting concentration, quantitative
skills, entrepreneurship, in Boston.
The strength of DUKE: rising ranking, health sector management(best in US),
great culture, interpersonal skill development, excellent in marketing.
The strength of one school seems to be the weakness of the other. I will
really appreciate if any MIT alumni can give me a hint!

UMN is stronger, there are more faculty members doing theochem, its
reputation in chem is better than DUKE
DUKE is also a very good choice, and the overall reputation beat UMN
depend on what area you like, and whether you can go to your favorite group
or not
personally prefer UMN
BTW, why ask that so late? |

Duke?? I only see Yang is here. Thanks for reminding me, now Duke is
talking. Whatever, they are both great for people who like computational
chemistry. It seems that Truhlar's ability for 灌水 is much bigger. :). Sometimes, school does not matter compare to which advisor you
will follow and which field you are into. Talk , then decide!

SJSU的EE不错的，导师都是stanford, UC berkeley，UIUC的，前景还是不错的；
不过SJSU就是没有钱，不给奖学金；
不过话说回来，如果给我选择，两者都是自费的话，我会选Duke,因为DUKE的地方也不
是差到不行了，何况在国内名声也还不错； |

不过我觉得这和duke的方向有关，不是光电就是电磁波，MS毕业不一定好找吧。其实07
级他家也没录几个MS，听说20个左右。
听usc的学长说今年也很差，找到工作或实习也的没几个。ufl本来地理位置就差，都是
跑出去找，我也很想知道结果。。。
可是谁又知道2年后的情形呢。。。
UFL的analog or digital VLSI怎么样呢？往年出去找怎么样？本来大部分申的都是CA
和TX，最后跑去一个FL的话，挺担心的。 |

jhu有tons of money, 特别是天体天文。“听说”这方面的公司也不少。
非常decent的一个系，做发考题的机会比duke在物理上是强多了（谁给考证一下？）。
duke物理好像比较委靡。
