There is an openning position as a "DXA operator" in St. Luke's-Roosevelt
Hospital in New York.
They want someone who has MD degree in foreign country with clinical
experience for a couple of years, also step 1 & 2 passed already.
As a Chinese, I would like to be honest and share all info as I know: this
position is available for two years only. The main work is like a technician

中国各大门户网站包括人民网近日都在转载一则关于安康市汉滨区委、区政府举行公开
处理大会，对17名阻挠重点工程建设的村民处以刑事拘留的官方消息称，10月31日，十
天高速路（十堰到天水）施工便道被汉滨区关家乡磨河村50多名村民围堵，7名民警出
警，被村民砸坏摄像机、谩骂、推搡，后增派４０名警察，拘捕9名村民。11月2日，这
9人与另外几起阻挠施工事件中的8名村民一起被处理。

汉语和印第安语的惊人巧合？
有一件趣闻，多少可以让人遐想华夏文明与印第安文明特别是玛雅文明之间可能存在的
相关性。几年前的某一天，一位墨西哥国立自治大学的教授家里宴客，来宾中有一位中
国访问学者和该教授的几个学生，其中有的会说玛雅语。这位教授福至心灵，特意安排
中国客人和玛雅学生坐在一起。这下一发不可收拾，两方相见，分外亲切，一时间促膝
长谈，竟然发现汉语和玛雅语中不少貌似相同或相近的词汇。这个趣闻是那位教授亲自
告诉我太太的。当时究竟发现了多少可能相通的词汇，已不可考。那位教授只记住了一
个例子，即汉语的“晚安”和玛雅语祖图支尔方言（Tzutujil）的Na’an，意思是“再
见”，两者似乎能搭上关系。
学者胡春洞列出的汉语和玛雅语完全相同的17个词汇
其实，近年来已经有学者注意到了汉语和玛雅语之间可能存在的相关性。如几年前去世
的北师大教授胡春洞，就在其专著《玛雅文化：论玛雅与中华文化同源》中考察了两种
语言的105个基本词汇，发现其中有二十多个词汇在读音和意义上（包括方言和古音）

I did my Master's thesis on enhancing bone recovery with whole body
vibration training-- basically a low-magnitude, high frequency stimulus. You
could equate this to ~walking, standing, low-intensity running. Low
intensity activity is both safer and more anabolic to both soft and hard
