Exactly! To reduce the leakage current (or in other words, to have a large
on/off ratio), it is desirable to have a larger band gap to reduce the
concentration of the minority carrier. At least this is theoretically true for
inorganic semiconductor. But for polymer semiconductor, in order to make CMOS,
it is desirable to have amphipolar semiconductive polymer. And the contact
between the metal electrode (source and drain) and the polymer requires the
band gap of the polymer to be small, unless

Currently, the highest power efficiency is around 33% (tested at NREL). It is
a tandem cell with three junctions. The highest efficiency was achieved at 300
suns (AM1.5). It is certainly true that the built-in potential of inorganic
p-n junction cell sets the maximum limit for Voc. But this is not true for
organic cell. Even for symmetrical organic cells sandwiched between two
identical electrodes, the Voc will not be zero. Brian Gregg wrote an excellent

The rubber has some carbon in it. It's conductivity, it don't know. It should
be high as LCD don't need much current to drive. The simplest way to know is
to rip your waist watch open and measure it. The black soft stripe. And most
electronics which have touch pad have it, you phone, for example. I now
remember, I once measured one pad, it has resistance of order KOhm.

Thanks!
I have found that many people are using carbon black with some rubber (PDMS)
binder for this purpose. The conductivity certainly depends on CB content, and
good ink does need some formulation to improve the interface adhesion.
Actually, people have used this method for many years, think about your car
tires!

hello, can someone explain me that during a die making
process, how the CAM get involved? say i have a sample,
and want to make stamping die acordingly. the hold way
would be hand, but i'm curious if they use some kind
of "scanning" process like electrode then get the shape
into CAM/CAD software.
i'm no ME so if someone knows how this works please
let me know, thanks!

The process is actually straight forward. The software creates "path" for the
electrode. Then there is motor drived stages to perform the action to get the
job done physically.

yes, it is not that safe. but people did test some cathode materials, e.g.
LiMn2O4, nano LiFePO4, and some anodes, e.g. Li4Ti5O12... for high power
applications.

至于size,当年(现在也是?)Sony的LIB用的LiCoO2的尺寸不是有20微米吗?记得书
上说这个尺寸是优化的选择。如果用nanocrystalline LiCoO2的话,不使用大量的导电
介质(这里是cb),那也无法保证电荷能在LiCoO2和current collector之间正常传导
啊。我赞同你所说的不同particle之间的表面差异。

The situation is:
On a microarray chip, there are 16 micro gold electrodes with diameter of 10
micrometers,and elsewhere are photoresistors,when I want to do the electroc
hemical measurements, the aqueous electrolyte just sit above the gold electr
odes because of the hydrophobic surface tension, and the air inside this sma
ll cavity makes the broken circuit.
So dear peers please give some advices to me how to avoid this surface tensi
on and make the chips work.

看了原文,有几个地方不懂。比如Figure 5,为了测出internal quantum efficiency(
IQE),为什么作者比较wire-array electrode (blue)和wires after being polymer-
embedded and peeled from the growth substrate (black) 两种样品的external
quantum efficiency(EQE)?作者不是说主要的parasitic adsorption是因为surface
states, impurities or residual VLS catalyst metal deposits. 镶嵌在PDMS里和从
衬底上剥离,如何就去掉了surface states和impurities的效应呢?
那位photovoltaics/solar cell的大拿给外行讲讲?

I have done some experiments on single nanowire/nanotube optical experiments
before. The difficulty is the collection efficiency as you stated in your
words. You might try gated pulses to improve the SNR. If the nanotech still
stayed in the stage I knew of, you could try to locate a nanowire/tube
between the electrodes and then optically pump it with a strong laser in
pulse mode with a duty cycle of 1/1000, then your optical spectrum analyzer
has to be tuned to the exact frequency with a fast sw
