sex. I mean it. :) I am serious about it and I want to have a helluva
good discussion about the relationship between girls and boys.
Anyway, like most boys, I was confused by how girls think. I kind
of figured out later that their minds are as simple as ours. We are not

to land a job in a US elementary school. I know this because I have been
recruiting teachers from abroad for my district for a while. The reason is
not about funding, but about supply --we all know when the supply is high,
the demand is low. There are many American elementary school teachers for
hire.
And in my humble opinion, the reason the supply is high is --you guessed it-
- it's a little easier for one college grad |

elementary school is Dufief, which is rated 7/10 on greatschools.net. My
daughter will turn into 5 soon. My agent told me all elementary schools
under Wootton high should be good enough, but a rating of only 7 made me
worry. Can anyone familiar with this school share some information? Is the
rating reliable or not?

今天跟着儿子K组织的小学参观团去转了一圈， 很有感触啊。
儿子要去的elementary school,是我们这里最老的，看起来很不起眼，里面有些陈旧拥
挤的感觉。 不过去参观了五个1 grade的班， 感觉就好多了。
K的小朋友到1 grade class, 那里的老师让1 grade的孩子一对一的跟K的小朋友介绍教
室里的新鲜玩意， 满好玩的， 大孩子锻炼了讲解能力， 小朋友也兴趣盎然。
让我惊讶的是， 一个班里面，老师给孩子们show wii-sports, 玩了一轮保龄球。
另一个班里面，居然养了无数小动物， 最感兴趣的是有个保温箱在孵鸡蛋， 今天正好
孵出来两只， 湿呼呼的歪来歪去， 特好玩。 还有养着小蝌蚪， 鱼，乌龟， 荷兰猪
等等， 搞得整个班特生动。
转了一圈下来， 就觉得儿子真幸福啊。 |

wooton学区就没好好查。刚刚发现房子的小学是DuFief Elementary School，在
greatschools上只有6分。上网查了查这个小学白人加亚裔有91.5%，free lunch和
reduced lunch只有5%，可为什么在greatschools上分数这么低？有知道的给说说，这

今天校长在傍晚的会上“通知” 大家从下学期每一个孩子( from TK to fifth grade)
都要开始自备一台ipad, 几乎所有的教学以及功课都要在上面完成，（no paper
needed next semester,) 请看link里面的powerpoint，许多家长都对这样的教学方法
提出了很多质疑，大家都很不希望这个program开始，校长说如果还有什么问题大家可
以在下周五9：10分principal time 的时候meet her.
今天很多家长不知道这个消息，没有来，估计大家都还没有意识到学校是已经蓄势待发
了， 今天其中一个印度小孩的爸爸在会上非常清晰的阐述了他的担忧（引来一片掌声

The School Committee voted unanimously Tuesday against continuing to offer
the school choice option that allowed 13 students to transfer from the Lynch
Elementary School in January.

最近刚开始看Cary的房子，看Davis Drive Elementary附近的Collins Grove，发现附
近有一条铁路。据说是运货的，但是时间好像不定。注意到房子及学校附近有交叉路口
，火车会在过这些岔口鸣笛。
不知道版上有没有住在附近的或者对那附近比较了解的朋友，想问一下这个火车一般都
是大概什么时候到那附近？有没有大半夜的，或大清早？住在铁路附近还有什么弊端？
