据新华社电 美国全球语言研究所预测2011年英语十大热门词汇，一定程度上反映
出全球政治、经济、文化等领域新动向。
美国趣味科学网站8日援引全球语言研究所负责人保罗·帕亚克的话报道：“为了
预测2011年热门词汇，我们分析了所监测的范畴，然后从代表各种世界趋势的词汇中作
出选择。”
第一热门词汇当属“Twenty-Eleven”，这是“2011”年的英语发音，全球大约15.
8亿讲英语者会经常说到这个词。
“奥巴马困境”(Obama-mess)有望成为第二大热词。帕亚克说：“如果(美国总统
贝拉克·)奥巴马再次施展魔法，他可以摆脱‘奥巴马困境’；如果他的支持率继续下
跌，他将为‘奥巴马困境’所吞没。”
鉴于经济萧条有望于明年止步，全球经济力争复苏，“大萧条”(great recession
)一词可能成为2011年第三大热门词汇。
