兄弟姐妹们，我现在的J1 visa到2012年10月底到期，从现在算还有9个月。我现在考虑
申请waiver，不知道时间上来得及不？拿到waiver后办H1来得及吗？
我看网上说waiver在大使馆要3到6个月，到美国DOS也要3个月，那这样时间岂不是很玄？
希望有经验的同学指点一下，非常感谢！

1. Case by case, Step 1 depends on your Consular Officer(CO), some CO processed quickly, takes 1-2 months, some CO takes 3-6 months.

If you come with J visa and subject to 212(e), you cannot switch to H1B or
green card. |

国内读完博士直接过来作博后, if less than 6 months, it is fine, if more than
6 months after you graduated, you need further documents. So call now to
