如果有父母来的话，建议住albany，那里靠近uc village，可以有很多探亲的父母交流
。大华附
近的房子虽然便宜，但是相对不安全。建议住san pablo 以东，靠近sanlano附近，那
里有个警察
局，应该比较安全。

of san pablo 那一代比较差.
Del Norte bart station 附近还可以。 如果可以 El Cerrito bart 附近会好一点。
有老人有小孩住在 Albany Pierce 附近还不错，有好几个 communities, 吃饭买菜方
便。社区内
有小公园老人可以带小孩去玩，附近中国人也不少。只是那附近走路除了那个ranch 99
plaze没什麽
别的。前面有位说了住在 Albany Solano Ave. 附近不错。

2. cross golden gate, Sausalito area is very pretty, and lots of cute stores
in sausalito town.
3. great mall is not bad in Milpitas 95135 area. It is around 50 minutes
driving from Berkeley.
4. 中餐馆: 御食园 if u like spicy or Emeryville Dong1 Hai3(Hongkong east
ocean seafood restaurant ) is not bad too. |

Bay Street: Above the shopping center. It is safe and convenient for
everything. Transbay Bus stop in front of apartment. I lived in there for 1
year before I bought a house.
Orinda and Lafayette: good safe area, take BART to work. |

I personally don't like Emeryville that much so I will give you a few
options in Oakland:
1. Piedmont
2. Rockridge/monclaire area
3. Lake Merritt
4. Oakland Hills
They are all good IMO. They all can be expensive however especially if the building is relatively new. If you are a young single professional, I would choose from the first three options. Oakland hills is more like family based. Oakland is a fun town but it's only fo... 阅读全帖 |

East bay is not bad except that there are pockets of area you should avoid.
Basically if a 1br units rents for $1000-1500, the neighborhood should be
decently safe. Do your homework, check things out after you arrive, it
shouldn't be that hard to find an apartment near where you work. There are
plenty of condos and apts.
