verification letter,写上工作时间，公司名，职责和skill set，让我的ex-employer
签字。但前公司明确禁止HR和经理出具任何非公司标准格式的employment
verification letter，也就是不愿意签这个字，只能给标准格式的letter，只标明工
作时间和公司名。其实想想也合理，这种五花八门job discription和skill set的
employment verification letter人家肯定不会签。
现在律师就把我的case暂时晾着，没说该怎么弄下去。请问大家在打perm时是怎么把
job discription和skill set给附上去的，谢谢了。 |

1. 我是学校律师办的。他要我问employment verification letter(EVL)，要有具体的
skill和duty的描述。可是我听说只是在填140的时候才需要EVL,为什么perm也需要？难
道我需要办两份，防止140的时候再需要？
2. 临毕业那学期，我在一个小公司做过四个多月的实习，本来他们希望我毕业后留下
来成为full time(实习刚开始就sign了future full time employment contract)，可
是我还是跳槽了。我担心他们不肯给我办employment verification letter. 万一真的
不肯，那么我的这些experience就会缺一小段，虽然别的经历加起来肯定能满足perm
requirement，可是会不会因为不连续而悲剧呢？
BTW：我的full time employment experience还差3个月才能满足perm requirement，
所以一定要实习的经历来补。我在这个小公司之前也有过较多的实习经历，所以加起来
就满足了。

我是商科，最近收到一个teaching school 的 offer. 学校要作 pre-employment
background check，要求提供过去7年的工作经历, 还说：”You cannot start
working at the University until the pre-employment background check has been
complete”. 这个调查是委托一个中介机构进行的。
我曾经在国内的一个小公司工作过两年半， 这段工作经历也在简历中提到。 问题是那
个公司现在已经不存在了（被其他公司收购了）, 我的supervisor 也早换了工作。前
问大家，对背景调查表中的这个问题： “ May we contact your previous
supervisor for a reference?”如何回答比较好？ 如果我选择 “NO”, 会有什么不
好的影响吗？如果我选“YES”，学校连续不到我的supervisor 又会怎么样呢？

我电话说是做employment verification的时候让未来雇主打这个电话。现在找到一个
新的实习工作我就在填背景调查电话的时候填了那个号码。谁知道昨天看到背景调查显
示完成并且结果上面写着unperformable,说是打了好多次都是个录音电话没有查询的功
能无法核实在那里工作过。我就把w2和如何拨打那个电话的链接发给背景调查公司了。
再一看背调状态改成未完成估计重新按照那个打电话流程去核实了。 可是考完试回家
自己按照那个流程打电话打了好几次发现根本就没法输入什么信息查询某个人的
employment总是让注册他们的网站，注册那个账号还得付钱，谁会为了查我一个小实习
生的employment还去花钱注册他那个网站啊。真是崩溃了。现在背景调查结果还没发到
hr,要是还是不能证实我在那个银行工作过，hr不会连让我的机会都没有直接把offer收
回了吧。现在该联系谁啊，好慌。

employment这个事实。就是说，还会按照self-employment的要求，查2年的tax return
，如果公司的tax是另外报的，还需要看公司的tax return。
income是衡量还款能力的，银行会不遗余力的去verify。话说回来，如果income没有保
障，就算拿下贷款，也只是加重自己的负担，一旦foreclosure，以后想贷款都难了，

sep的投25%也不能超5万2的总数阿。而且s corp可以自己pay自己低工资，省自雇税，
那sep 25%就没能投几个钱了。
我唯一的疑问是：solo 401k，employer contribute部分能不能比employee
contribute部分多。
举个例子，employee 投个1万，employer能match 2万吗？
