在网上找到了一些东西。基本上都是要写两个简单的function,
one for encrypt, one for decrypt.
然后用的时候，假设ud_MyCrypt is the function name for encrypt，
insert就要write something like:
Insert table1(SSN) values (dbo.ud_MyCrypt('123456789',NULL))
Say ud_MyDecrypt is the function name for decrypt，select就要写成：
select dbo.ud_MyDecrypt(SSN,NULL , 'SecurePassword' ) from table1
这意味着我所有和DB连的东西都得从写。那我就惨了。有没有什么方法能使
encryption totally transparent呢？不用改我的existing SQL statements? |

spec/FAQs from those encryption software company's website. They suggest the
same thing.
Now my problem is, my application is there already. I need to somehow just
"plug in" the encryption. Usually those software will create a view on the
table that I want to encrypt. Name the view as my table name, and rename the
table to something else. that's a good idea. However I am not sure how to keep

according to the man page, crypt() takes 2 parameters:
crypt(cosnt char *key, cosnt char *salt)
the result is a 13 char string.
however, the encrypted password at /etc/shadow has this
format:
$1$abcdefrg$abcdefrg1234567890qwer
there're 8 char between the 2nd $ and the 3rd $, and another
22 char after the 3rd $.
anyone know how this encrypted password is generated? using
crypt() or else? I can't find any man page about that. no

我已经花钱定了你的TV了，大部分收费台都不看。就看over the air天线应该都能收到
的几个台。你现在还要把他们都encrypt了。太贪婪了吧？Comcast这是为什么呀？是不
是之前只要定internet，不定TV也可以看电视呀。就算是那样。local台本来就应该免
费呀。
无奈，定了个能用cablecard的tuner，$150！我以前limited basic一年的费用。
然后，今天去comcast local office领cablecard。开车，排队，半个小时吧。然后，
大妈告诉我，我们这被领光了！！昨天有个人领了6个。泥马，谁家这么多电视呀。大

help? I under that Oracle has software side encryption, but it'll slow down
the server. Microsoft SQL has support but no really can do it. Any
suggestion on both software or hardware.

unzip it with "unzip -P password file -d newdir" but it doesn't work. The
manual page of unzip says if no password is provided then it will prompt
for password, but when I use "unzip file" it gave me encrypted (not supported)
error.
The files are quite big(around 3G) so I really don't want to transfer them
to Windows and unzip. Anyone has some idea how to do it in unix? Thanks.. |
