$60 billion is still really nothing comparing to the total deficit
again, I dont see the problem solved without revomving most part of
the entitlements.
right wings and left wings just fight on those small issues and no matter
how hard they fight, they are not going to get things solved. Someone needs
to have the gut to tell people the truth and remove the entitlements. I
even doubt Ron Paul can do this. |

1. 搞这样大规模的改革，总是要挨骂的，这个没什么。关键是，政客都是看自己的政
治利益的。这个改革，你也说了，民主共和两党都要咬牙割自己的肉。但是相对而言民
主党的肉要被割得更多。这就决定了民主党比较而言没有动力推动这个改革。
2. 奥巴马作风圆滑，从来只喜欢做白手套。从他的经历和表现来看，让他来大刀阔斧
地做这种大手术，完全和他的风格与能力不对路。罗姆尼的长处是超强的执行能力和多
次力挽狂澜的气魄，他是个在形势需要时，能够拉下脸来杀伐决断的领导人。
3. 你也说了，奥巴马的基本路线是穷vs富，我还要加一条，就是 entitlement vs.

from the US tax payers.

债减半，经济繁荣，现在有几条实现了？
在这种情况下，如何选择？可以从以下几个方面来考虑：
1） 出身，家庭环境，教育，2）成就和业绩，3)政党的基本理念
第一项和第二项作为考量标准是很明显的。为什么把政党的基本理念作为标准之一？因
为二党的候选人在选举时都是谎话连篇，空头支票开了无数。不管这次谁入主白宫，碰
到重大问题时，我们可以认为总统会从他认同的政党基本理念出发来面对和解决问题。
奥巴马出身单亲家庭，后来大部分时间由外公外婆抚养长大。混血的孩子在白人社区长
大，对他的性格和世界观有很大的影响。后来从哥伦比亚本科毕业及哈佛法学院毕业。
罗姆尼父亲先从商，曾是美利坚汽车公司的董事长。 后从政，当过密歇根州长和联邦
政府部长。母亲也竞选过参议员。罗姆尼从BYU本科毕业后，在哈佛法学院和商学院JD/
MBA毕业.
在成就和业绩方面，奥巴马在竞选总统之前，除了在芝加哥地区做社区组织者和各种竞

I m for cutting entitlement. I support what Romney proposed, if you are rich
, then you should not get the same amount of SS or medicare. Obama does not

另外，从medicare开始的1965年到现在，美国人的平均寿命多了6岁，所以还按那时的
计算根本无法维持，即便不考虑到老龄化趋势，领medicare的年龄也得从65岁推迟到71
岁。SS以及pension都面临同样问题。靠给top2%加税是杯水车薪。Entitlement不改革
