I subsequently learned a few things about liquid nitrogen. While you can
safely hold it in your mouth and blow neat smoke patterns, you should never,
ever swallow. The closed epiglottis prevents the gas from escaping, so
expanding gas is forced into your body. And your esophagus naturally
constricts around anything inside it, so even though there is a thin
protective gas layer, the esophagus will manage to make contact with the
liquid nitrogen.

Acid reflux is caused by the weakening of the muscle tone at your

Question: What Causes GERD?
Answer: Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is caused by reflux of
stomach acid into the esophagus. In most sufferers this is due to a
relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) that opens to allow food
and liquids to pass into the stomach, and closes to prevent food and stomach
acid from flowing back into the esophagus.

can to slip by with unsafe products if it saves them money.
So why have progressives and liberals gone along with corporate media

Lung cancer
Lung cancer is the major cancer thought to be linked to diesel exhaust.
Several studies of workers exposed to diesel exhaust have shown small but
significant increases in risk of lung cancer. Men with the heaviest and most
prolonged exposures, such as railroad workers, heavy equipment operators,
miners, and truck drivers, have been found to have higher lung cancer death
rates than unexposed workers. A...

GERD can cause cough sometimes, because the acid irritates your esophagus.
Your doctor probably gave you samples of Nexium or some other drug that
belongs to that class.
You can google for the foods that you should avoid for GERD. Foods may
include tomatoes, chocolate, coffee, pizza, high-fat foods.

depends on your doctor, it's not a good thing to do but, let's say someone
comes in to the office complaining of abdominal discomfort, stated he lost
about 20 lbs in last 1 month, and now is having trouble swallowing food,
plus he also has strong family history of cancers, i don't know, maybe in
stomach or esophagus, with that presentation, it's pretty hard for the
doctor not to consider endoscopy,
and by the way you didn't hear that from me,

If you have acid reflux, the acid can irritate your esophagus and cause you
to cough, that's why in ppl with chronic cough, docs always like to rule out

Gastric endoscopy won't be the first thing.
First, do a blood test including a liver function test.
Second, do an ultrasound of the gall bladder and the liver if nothing is
found in Step 1.
Third, do an X-ray of the chest including the esophagus if nothing is found
in Step 2.
Finally, do a gastric endoscopy if nothing is found in Step 3.
Good luck,

There is always chance...although very low. For patients with distant
metastases, (I think) the 5-yr survival is 5-10%.
Those who have difficulty swallowing may benefit from photodynamic therapy
or stenting, which help to keep the esophagus open.
Hope this review article helps:
