发帖数: 20 | 6 最近发现家里的电话线用的都是8芯的cable，就萌生了把电话线改跑Ethernet信号的念
头。
ebay上拍来wall plate外加ports，放狗搜了pinout....
大动干戈一番后，把做好的东西一头接router，另一头插进电脑的ethernet 接口，只
见两个灯交替闪了几下就没了动静。
检查了连接，没有问题（每根线两头之间的电阻大概是3欧姆左右），用的是1,2,3,6八
股线中的四根，而且用一根短patch试过，也没有问题。
是不是因为距离太长了？（顶多也就是15米吧） |

所有的机器都听到, 所以要CD, 因为两边一起发就乱了.
现在的ethernet, 全都是switch和全双工, 根本不存在两边一起发的问题. collision
detect?哪来的collision?
点对点说的不是PPP协议, 是说的非广播. |

有了，就是装完以后找不到。手动更新也不行。还有一个驱动和UTILITY在一起的，装
完以后UTILITY硬是找不到驱动。也不是坏掉了，我删掉以后每次都能发现新硬件。设
备管理里面就是两个黄问号，RTL8187B WLAN ADAPTOR 和 以太网适配器。

家有 pre-wired ethernet, 每個房間, 客廳, 閣樓都有埠. 但家裡6台電腦 + PS3 +
黑莓 一直用無線網, 領導不喜歡看到線到處跑, 我也就懶得 ZT.
昨天收到麒麟盒 (新版白色盒, 沒有自帶無線適配器. 不想花$20買它的適配器), 試用
我自己的 usb 無線適配器失敗, 強迫我研究要用家裡 wired network. 研究了半小時, 連線正確
的電纜後開通了.
Very shung ah! pre-wired Ethernet at home. 雖然不是什麼新奇的東東, 但在家裡
有感覺很高科技 ah.
以後買房子也要醬紫. |

我很久前买的netgear 3300才30块。。可惜没有千兆以太网。稳定性还是不错的，一年
也没死过一两
次。
应该买个支持5Ghz的，如果住的地方人口密集的话，2.4G干扰挺大的。5G非常干净。
搭车问一下大家的wifi average data transfer rate是多少啊，我的网卡在300M的时
候，
copy ethernet上机器的文件，只能到不到50Mbps的样子。ethernet对考能吧百兆网卡
用满。

Got it.
power up PBO, but WITHOUT ethernet cable connection.
Once the menu comes up, then reconnect the ethernet cable.
Everything now works fine.
Weird thing is that it just disconnect everything and reconnect did not work. |

而且这个一楼二楼之间走外墙这段没看懂，是把在Attic的线引到basement去么？能简

现在正盖新房，但是开发商不准自己去布线，它自己的要价是一个Ethernet jack $100
, 一个Ethernet+Coax combo jack $200 （当然是带线的），双线的更贵。我至少要布

lenovo has good service in Beijing. Two yrs ago I went to Beijing with my
thinkpad and the guy in a computer store offered to do free check on my
computer as I could not play video. The guy said that I need to download a
video player which solved the problem. The guy was very professional.
I don't know about other places in China.
Yoga is on sale in BestBuy and you can go there to check.

end up, 我都搞错了， 我当时就叫那个tech 多连一根线，回到
我以为是 ethernet, 最后其实还是MOCA！ 直接电视coax 接到router/MOCA 然后回转
到POTS
到电话线然后通过那根蓝线到了楼上的center box。。。这种所谓的unkeyed voice
jack 就是为了保证我每个屋都有电话信号， 如果没有是违反code吗？现在我的问题就
是， 如果装了switch, 应该要注意点啥， 线要用CAT6 吗？现在这个小的switch 后面
的PC（09年的电脑不知没有千兆）到HTPC（刚装的应该有1000M的ethernet）传文件只
有10MB/s

能上网，访问邻居，访问副路由了。
就差一点(static)dhcp的功能了。
之所以折腾这个副路由，就是为了折腾pogoplug。
因为我能知道pogoplug被分配了什么ip，好ssh上去。
这个wireless ethernet bridge没给dhcp的选项，反而在"basic"下面有个"static
dhcp"的选项。
我试了下，好像不起作用。

if you are lucky and the house new enough, all cable plugs are RJ45
compatible.
all you need to do is:
HUB(MODEM) cable to blue port of whatever place, connect to router WAN port,
from one of the Modem LAN port, connect to the red one and going back to HUB.
add an ethernet switch (8port at least, powered) and distribute the signal
port to port to different rooms.
the so-call 6-port switch (if it is unpowered) is most likely a telephone
