Thanksgiving long weekend.
1.I downloaded erade java SKD from etrade web site.
2. I tried to use the SDK. SDK document said that I needed to get access key
from etrade to access etrade account.
3. If I want to get a access key for my account, it will take 1~2 weeks. It
will take 2 days for getting a sanbox account access key. I login my etrade
account, submitted a request to get access key for a sandbox account.

用了好几年Scottrade, 听说eTrade不错，还有几个月free trades,今年就开了一个
etrade帐户，没想到中招了。先是十月底开始，网上帐户受限（后来得知无故被怀疑给
专门设置的限制），我开始还以为系统问题，过几天就好，后来要买卖股票时才发现只
能卖不能买，十一月的几个在低点买花旗银行股票的订单都没有下成，亏了不少钱。
打了好几次电话查询，每次无限长，晚上接电话的印度兄弟想帮忙但没有权限，白天有
权限的股市一关就下班了，等下一天。总算联系到了白天的人，却被告知我在电话里回
答的安全问题与系统信息不符，怀疑我骗子，要提供证据 （同时索性把帐户锁了，但
不当场告诉我，我后来上网，密码屡试不对，打电话后才知网上帐户给封了，这下帐户
信息也没法看了），还说如果要买卖股票，可以电话里委托交易。我说如果你怀疑我，
为啥可以让我电话交易，无解！
然后说我必须把驾照fax，还要写个授权书给他们就可以了，几个小时就能解索。我按
要求fax过去之后，没消息。过了两天又是一通电话，说是收到了，但不是太清楚，要

因为上次etrade check 被 return 一事，打电话质问。
先是被hold了40分钟，然后出来两个customer service 的人出来解释，我才搞懂。
原因是这样的，fund本身是完全settle 了，etrade上写我有$X，但是这个avaibable
fund不reflect optionlink上的$-Y的balance。我那天写check是，写了$X，现在
他们告诉我我得logon to 所有的 etrade account, such as
Etrade Securities (我的这个) Etrade Bank, Etrade Optionlink, etc
自己做好加减法。。。 我咣当。。。
结果：他们refund 我一半returned check fee $13；
最后我损失 etrade return check fee $12 +
Wellfargo Penalty $7 +

先说点，不一定正确：
IB 的 attached order 很好，ETRADE 没有。
IB 好像能容易借到股票做空，ETRADE 难。
IB 市场单价格差些，ETRADE 的要好些。
IB 的图好多了，ETRADE 的 太烂。
IB 的实时性 比不上 ETRADE.

days for the proceeds to be ready to purchase other stocks again,
this is the reason I can't use it for regular trading.
anybody using etrade?
it could be a good way to trade options, if it were not for the
slowness issue. I guess etrade transaction fee is only 8$ for any
trades? currently I often spend 20$ on IB options trade per trade, so
40$ in/out, too much |

have some money in the account.
Recently, I bought lots of different position for the other accounts so I
need the money for trading, when I opened the etrade PRO today, I found the
confirmation key looked pretty odd.
Could anyone tell me how to change that? Or it's normal for Etrade PRO.

要打电话，还是说可以online 自己在web 里exercise.

提示说有fee，但是没仔细看，也没想到会这麽多。听说IB会好一些。Etrade的

3.需不需要keep balance？
6个月内不需要。如果发现被罚款，电话搞定。请申请时仔细阅读，
因为term有可能变化。
4.
开户时如何存入1000拿到75？
开户时给出checking account信息即可。注意不要overdraft了。
据说ing也可以，我没试过。
5.如何取得bill pay的25？
add payee（最简单的信用卡）60天内pay两次即可，
就算只有一张也可以pay两次。$25会在月末出现在你的帐号上。
6.如何direct deposit?
a.修改payroll，存款总额〉1000/月，即可获得25。
最多可以得到3次25，也就是3个月DD都〉1000
b.从ingdirect transfer。
需要连接ing，也就是写张check给ing。具体连接方法见ingdirect.com
7.
开户后要做什么？

external account. They now have the limit to deposit if
the external account has not been verified under your account.
It seems there is no way to verify the external account
before you open an Etrade account. After you have the Etrade
account, you could add external account under it.
Now I will draw a check to deposit $1000 initially. |

法找到帐户有所需要足够的shares，就没有办法执行你的short order.
RENN这么短时间，涨得这么猛烈，多少散户还能继续hold？而且不正常调整正说明庄家
在这个价格不好卖，没办法不能跌，也说明没多少散户买入。那么etrade的用户没有
share非常正常。不是借口。 |

2. 除非你从现在的公司出来，一般你不能把 401k 转到 IRA.
3. 从你看问题的角度来看，你对投资所知不多。我强烈建议你把钱留在401k，转
到IRA自己操作往往招致更大的损失。 |
