Before the lousy american took the evaporator out from the A/C system, I
never though the underside of the evaporator could be like that. Dust and
mold almost completely painted the underside of the evaporator.
Then no wonder why the A/C guy recharged the A/C with 3 lb R-22, and nothing
was improved. Actually, the A/C system was not installed properly at the
first time point and some dusts could by-pass the filter and finally landed

天儿热了,空调用的多,但是俺的车上空调用过以后再单独开风扇,就会有股湿热的味道.
查了haynes,上面对去掉空调的味道没说很明白,只提到是由于evaporator上面有水,
所以长了细菌和霉菌,但是如何清除,上面只说要翘开evaporator的外壳往里喷清洁剂.
后来问了别的人,才知道原来evaporator就在手套箱后面.
昨天下午六点多开工,把手套箱拆下来,就看见一个大黑盒子,上面有个蓝标签,写着use
R134a,就是它了.盒子有上下两部分,把周围一圈螺丝拧下来,结果盒子晃啊晃的就是不
肯下来,俺跪在地上弄了好久,总觉得盒子上面那个特别大的四针的插座好象在说:"拆
我啊,拆我啊".因为evaporator上面有air bag,不知道是不是shock sensor,所以
还是小心的先把电池给断开,才去拧那个插座,等插座拧下来了,也看见里边的evaporator
的网格了,仔细看了看拧下来的sensor,里边是个双金属片,原来是空调测温的探头.

一侧的空调温度正常。今天去dealer那问了问，说可能是evaporator坏了（漏了氟利昂
？）。但是难道如果真的是evaporator坏了的话，不应该是两边都不冷了吗？这个车又
没有双区空调系统。Dealer吓唬我说如果evaporator坏了可能要花1k刀维修，还好俺有
transferable extended warranty，应该能够cover，但是还是想来问问大牛的意见，
不明不白的送去修自己心里也没底。 |

发帖数: 2121 | 4 2003年，hyundai xg350. 10万mile。棒子山寨豪华车，很便宜，开起来也蛮舒服的。
就是修理太贵。
前两天车上空调不工作了，送到shop 检查，发现是evaporator leak，需要更换。
查看了一下，evaporator replacement 一般都是8--10 小时的labor。修车铺老板也直
接跟我说，labor 耗时太长，不值得修。
这个太贵了，基本上AC 算是彻底报废不能用了。
有几个问题：
1. 这个如果不修，反正夏天马上快过去了，过了今年再说。冬天对暖气有没影响？ 对
其他部件有无影响？
2. 有没有便宜的修车店铺的推荐？ 能够换evaporator，大概多少米？
3. 实在太贵我也只能放弃修理。有没有车载AC 的代替品？能夏天用上两个月就行。

evaporate coil或者整机全换。
老中公司卖TRANE和ameristar的牌子。ameristar好像是trane的二线牌子，两吨的机器
全换报价2200， 只换evaporator coil 1400。 TRANE被称大概要贵600。 估计他主推
ameristar，所以TRANE开价高点。
想问一下，这种情况需要整机全换吗? 装机需要注意什么？推荐什么品牌和型号？

，换雪种250，但是你需要有压力表和铜焊设备（非锡焊），现在新一代的冷气设备都

There are gaps around the cases behind the filter. When the blower sucks air
in, some air by-passes the filter, reaching the evaporator with the dusts
carried by the by-passing air. It took 15 years to form that thick. The
former residents kept complaining the high temperature in the house with non
-stopping A/C and they just kept ask those cheaters to add more R-22. It
just wasted the money and did not resolve the problem. |

昨天去人加了refrigerant，同时检测出来evaporator coil leak，
说可能坚持二个礼拜，可能坚持一年，
但是今天就又不行了。
空调是2006的，2008年底才启用，goodman，保修5年。
2013年就换了fan motor，当时保修期，但是人工也花了300多。
公司他们的建议是
1 换coil，大概加人工和所有费用1600，整个系统出了这个coil，没有保险
2 整个系统换，4000左右
我看到外面有ac leak freeze, stop leak，就是往系统里面inject一种液体，不保证
有用，不保证长久。这个大约400.
希望有经验的给点建议。
另外goodman的系统真差啊，尤其是2007前后的那些。 |

不是这样的，首先不是平衡态（因为不断的有蒸气从体系溢出，被抽到泵中，所以物料
不平衡），其次就算是个平衡体系，ef和cf之间其实是有个压力梯度的，越靠近ef气压
越大（真空度越小），这个我测过。
一般油泵如果没有冷井，可以抽到5-3mmHg；加冷井可以低于1mmHg。 |

来的sample/substrate是在室温，没有特别加热或降温——水冷倒是有可能，如果蒸发
的膜比较厚的话。

coil。于是请这家工作换了evaporator coil。结果到夏天发现空调制冷效果不好，请
他们来看，他们又做了一次全面检查，说evaporator coil 装的没问题，别的也都是好
的，就是冷媒数量不对。他们加了氟，真的就好点了。结果今年开始用空调，发现还是
不行。出风口空气不怎么冷，从空调主机出来的风不怎么热，被insulate的那根管子应
该是摸起来冰冰的，但是现在就是温温的。请问这个是不是evaporator coil没装好啊
。如果真的是evaporator coil 没装好，已经过了一年了，是不是也只能自认倒霉，再
自己掏钱修，没法要空调公司负责啊？ |

发帖数: 1015 | 43 时常看到版上的帖子抱怨夏天空调不制冷，这次终于轮到我家了。
在网上和这个版上看了不少帖子，感觉和我碰的问题都不是很一样。
6年旧的楼上独立空调，以下是我已经试过或确认过的:
1.室内风扇和温度控制和户外风扇都正常运转
2.condenser应该也正常运转，因为可以听到AC liquid line (细铜管)内冷却剂流动的
声音。
3.air filter已经换了新的，外面condenser也用水清洗过。
4.draining pipe已经用Clorox通过了，肯定没有堵上。
5.draining pan里有一点水，不多，感觉evaporator coil可能原先有点结冰，已经通
过停止空调再加吹风去除冰了。
6. Evaporator所在的box摸上去挺冷，也有冷风从缝隙里漏出来,感觉evaporator coil
还是在制冷的
7. Ac liquid line摸着挺冷，但是AC suction line （保温材料包着的粗铜管)和环境
温度一样，不冷。网上文章说这不正常， AC suction line应该是 cold to touch.

压缩机工作的意义就是降低evaporator的温度，这样blower吹风过evaporator的时候风
就会被弄凉，但是evaporator不能太冷否则会有问题，所以系统有保护机制如果
evaporator太冷了就会切断压缩机。这个一般只会在风开得太小或者环境温度低的时候
发生，如果风开得大就不太会有这种情况出现。 |

Possible causes
- Purge Control Valve harness is open or shorted
- Purge Control Valve electrical circuit poor connection
- Faulty canister vent control valve
Tech notes
Before replacing any parts, check for damage EVAP canister and for loose

one more time this year before October. So what's wrong to get a new set. It
costs you $500 to $600 dollars per years, And you save the electricity.
One trick is that how those service guys figured out you really had leakage
somewhere. None doing this business is honest with the customers. Once they
got to your house, they always tried to get more money out of your pocket.

1 hour dropping from 90 to 75, it does not sound bad at all!
to tell if it is working fine or not, use a thermometer, measure the
temperature at the intake of the vent and the outlet of the AC, a
temperature difference between 14-20F is considered normal. A good unit can
generate a temperature difference of 20F.
consider cleaning the evaporator (the unit in your basement or attic) and
the condenser coil (the metal fins around your condenser fan in the outdoor
