在美国洛杉矶华人聚集区之一的蒙特利公园市，一项眼科健康调查（CHES：CHINESE
AMERICAN EYE STUDY）正在华人社区中展开。
奇怪的眼科检查
在美国定居多年的华人王丁（化名）参与了这项调查，现在他开始为这个调查感到百思
不得其解：“说检查眼睛为何要获取我的血样和DNA？”。
这一切要从9月说起，王丁当时接到CHES工作人员的电话，征询他是否愿意参加这项眼
科健康调查计划。60多岁的王丁眼睛不太好，当他看到这样的免费服务，而且又是当地
一家有名的眼科医院检测，他满口答应下来。
在当地，眼科检查至少要收取65美元的挂号费，如果再加一些眼科治疗，费用可能在几
百美元甚至上千美元，王丁说：“CHES不仅不收费，而且还承诺25美元的车马费。”对
很多像王丁这样的普通华人来说，这是一个诱惑。
王丁在电话里答应检查后，调查组的工作人员来到王丁的家里，对王丁的年龄、遗传病

经过一个中间宿体性的其它动物才能传染给人。所以，病毒发生后，就故意误导全国人

我从PA往NJ回家的路上, 在80号路上(限65)pass一辆车的时候 被检测到103. 被pull

今天早上一早开去PA, 玩了一天, 晚上往回开. 说实话有点累, 注意力不是
很集中, 想早点回家.
路况: 车不多 直路, 是在一个平路转下坡的地方, 我pass的地方正在转下坡处, 警察
就在坡下不远处的路肩上.
详情:
80号路, 限速65. 我在直路上我80mile左右(这点我不否认. 一般65的限速, 如果路况
好我都会开80左右..但再高只会在超车的小瞬间, 不会长期高速)
速度跟着一辆大车(SUV, 他也是80左右), 因为我驾龄也不够, 车子低, 所以跟稍大的
车我都会想pass. 不然视野不好, 心里不secure.
而我的习惯是尽量在最短时间内完成passing, 因为我觉得快点完成危险低(请指教下这
个好不好)
所以一般我做passing的时候油门都会踩的稍狠.

这回二次体检，因为怀孕，做了血检，还是阳性。
但是不想现在做胸透，是否只能等生完孩子再胸透完了才能拿到693？移民局网站上写
的毫不含糊的样子。
如果这样又要等大半年，好难熬；请问有没有朋友遇到同类情况，在移民医生那里通融
过了情况？

来逛了。在这里分享自己的485材料清单/cover letter，希望对新来的朋友有帮助。我
自己找的时候，也是七拼八凑，还老担心不全。

主副两人分开两个信封，装在一个大信封邮寄。
标题里，"DRY" - don't repeat yourself。码农都懂。
我这辈子估计不会再用第二次。只希望新人不要为个清单耽误时间。简单的case大家自
己弄，省点钱给娃买个钢琴什么的。
EB2能批到我这个8/31/2012的PD估计9/1/2012是个靠谱的时间。至于2010还是2000都是
U的意思，大家不用想太多。只要移民政策没有大的改动，马上就会回来的。
再次向各位，尤其是yoyo表示感谢。拿到绿卡前，这里就是窝。拿到了，也就要离巢了

stayed out of the confusing knots (or pretend to, I don't know), and I have to
deal with the other minor examiner, who was former chair of grad students.
During preparation for the exam, we were working much more effeciently than me
with my major examiner. Now really can't tell what he said was truth, and what
was to confuse me, and what else is to give me hints for alternatives. :<

我是国内本科毕业之后就直接过来读phd的，phd第二年一结束递交（08年9月）申请，
算起来来加拿大整整25月（中间暑假回国过一次一个月，这样算来一年TA/RA on ONLY
Study Permit=一年full-time working experience），me之后中间被bc了半年，上个
礼拜拿到ppr，而且我的同学同样情况的至少有3+个，都拿到了ppr，一个同学没有BC，
从头到尾只5个月。看看qq给标精华不？
