希腊号称是西方文明的摇篮，来到这里自然是要去体验这里的文化。在雅典除了去了一
趟卫城，没有时间去看他们的国家博物馆。来到了这个被柏拉图认为是失落的亚特兰蒂
斯的海岛Santorini，自然想去领略一番传说与历史交织的魅力。
很不巧的是，我最想去的一个excavation site---Akrotiri由于一年多前出过事故，现
在还不知道什么时候重新对游人开放。
那么就去博物馆吧。
岛上最好的博物馆是Prehistoric Museum。这里展出的基本上是从Akrotiri挖出来的文
物，大多是公元前18和17世纪的，也有更早的比如公元前28到27世纪的。那个年代的文
明程度之高，让人感叹。博物馆里最骄傲的一个展品，是1999年从Akrotiri挖出来的一
个小小的山羊金像。从这个金像来看，那个时候的Santorini居民，已经掌握了精密失
蜡铸造技术和锻压甚至焊接技术，使得一个小小的金像，表面光滑，接口流畅。展品当
中，有不少形状独特的陶器，表面都绘有复杂的图案。除了会制造工具，他们的度量衡
的标准也建立起来了，展出的就就有一架天平（托盘 |

我自己做的，总共前后院2800sf左右（没有具体量），材料费不到400块。
当然，我没有加你提到的FANCY STUFF，诸如Y-FilTER和正空压力释放阀门之类的。这
些没有必要加。
你家900sf的地，两个人一天不要就可以了。当然，我指在德州（不是那个产烧鸡的德
州）。如果你在星隐格兰，就不知了，你会有ROCKY EXCAVATION，你可能需要海军陆战
队的工兵营也未可知的。
当然，我和这个版上的xt同学一样，都是搞给排水出身的，做这个对我们来说比较容易。 |

我在草地中央的也就是有6寸把，你得让POP-UP喷头和地面FLUSH。对于我来说6寸够了
，多了没有必要(没有霜冻)。如果你的草地有很多TRAFFIC，比如，时不时有重刑机器
或武器什么的，要至少3尺COVERAGE (CODE要求的，真的，我为工程项目做过一个计算)。
至于周边的喷管，两寸到4寸的COVERAGE吧。
RISER是办寸的，如果是用在草地中央的，用最短的那种，TO MINIMIZE EXCAVATION。
HEAD如果是用在草地中央的，只能用POP-UP的，任何的都行。
我用的是PVC的，当然金属的更好。
另外，没有必要测压力的流量，。大了没有问题，如果小呢？就不做了？我们射击自来
水压都是大于30PSI的，如果你家里用水没有问题的话，你的喷灌系统不会有任何问题(
用3/4寸的管子)。
我的经验：每个ZONE最多8个喷头。6到7个最好。所以你不用测压力和流量。 |

发帖数: 2798 | 7 我觉得用玻璃在地下装一个鱼池可能不太妥。玻璃很平，刚性，和基底紧密合缝会很困
难，对基底的施工精度要求太高，不管基底／侧壁是直接土壤，水泥，还是细沙。我干
过地上挖一坑，放大概１００或２００加仑的PVC预制的FREE FORM的鱼池，池子放上去
，灌上水，总觉得在地里晃荡，一怒之下，又把坑添了。
我印象中这边游泳池的建法是：先来一队人在地上钉上一些板材，钩勒出池子的形状，
这一步叫FORMING；然后挖土机开挖，大概到离FORMING板子３～４INCH的时候停，这一
步叫EXCAVATION；然后管子工来铺上白色的PVC管，供后面水循环用，叫PLUMBING；然
后工人用粗钢筋和细钢筋在土坑里搭上架子，成型后的细钢筋网大概离土壁１～２INCH
，用预制的水泥方块垫着和地底／土壁隔离，这一步忘了，大概叫FRAMING；然后水泥
车开来，用一根长的管子把水泥喷射到坑壁和迟底，大概水泥硬化的时间调得比较特别
，浇上去一会儿就可以人踩来踩去，方便人在池底施工，这一步大概叫SHOOT CONCRETE
。然后等几个星期，这一步出现裂纹好象属于正常；然后工人来把池子清干净，又喷一

稍微更正一下：同频性能提高40%是指单核同频性能提高40%。
从数字上来看还是很吊的。如果和8 core的excavator比，
CPU整体吞吐量是1.4 * 32/8 = 5.6。即使打个八折也了不起了。
AMD的问题一直是频率*IPC >> 实际性能 |

designed the foundation should take the full responsibility.
it looks like the major design problem is that, the pile design didn't
consider lateral load. the surcharge of the soil on riverside and the
excavation on the landside generate a lateral load to the piles, causing
the bending failure of the pile foundation.
hope this accident can draw more public attention on the importance of
geotechnical engineering. |

Caterpillar Inc. (CAT), the world’s largest maker of construction equipment
, posted first-quarter profit that topped analysts’ estimates and raised
its full-year earnings forecast as sales surged in developing countries.
Net income rose more than fivefold to $1.23 billion, or $1.84 a share, from

Let me share with you my experience.
I have a relative flat lot, but when I build my house, I hired a excavation
company to dig the basement and change the grading (slope a little bit) A
lot of dirt was digged up and pushed around to make the current landscape. (
