是个非常可爱的小男孩。早几年前，英子曾在单位选派下去新加坡留学一年，拿了MBA的
学位。要说她也是海归派人物了。来美国前，她在市计委做外商投资的项目评估。在众人
眼里，这确实是份不错的工作。当初她下决心离开丈夫和儿子，放弃国内的事业来美国留
学时，着实有些犹豫和不忍。只是她天生是个不甘平静的人，日渐平淡的婚姻和事业让她

。静蕾人长的漂亮，性格活泼，书念的也不错。大学时她的身边总是有许多男生愿意鞍前
马后的为她效力，而她也总是乐此不疲。男生宿舍夜谈说起静蕾的时候，李岩总是闭口不
语，要是被人问的烦了，他才抛出一句话来：瞧她那得意的样子。
大二时，静蕾和他们系的师兄涛好上了。涛是他们学校篮球团的，人长的帅，球打的也好
。涛的父母是做生意的，家里颇有一些钱。从中学起，涛就不怎么爱念书。高考前，他的
父母请了家教给他强化辅导了几个月。能上这所大学算是涛的幸运了。涛的样子有点花，
这是静蕾和他在一起最不放心的一点。

李岩和静蕾念的是物理。他们去的这所学校物理系颇为有名，不过李岩并没打算在自己的
专业继续念下去，他想先修一两门电子工程系的课再转过去。他们刚来美国那会，美国的
电子和计算机行业还火的不行，EE和CS毕业的学生真是太抢手了。静蕾却经不起这番折腾
，她想还是先挑个好点的方向念念再说把。
他们去的这所学校在一个大学城里，城里的中国人除了那些学生以外就是那些学生家属了
。刚来时大家都觉得很兴奋，有那么多的迎新会在等着他们，美丽的校园，友善的面孔和
那些新鲜的事物总是可以激发起他们的强烈的兴趣。可是几周以后日子就慢慢的变的单调
起来，每逢周末，小城安静和压抑的几乎让人无处排遣。偶尔谁家开个PARTY大概是这里
能找到的最大娱乐。
静蕾来了之后，有很多人开始追她。周末的时候，老生们会请她一起去参加PARTY，并殷

李岩在EE系选了一门课，其他三门课是和静蕾一起上的。刚来美国听力是一大难题，李岩
和静蕾常常要相互对照着笔记才能把教授课上讲的东西弄明白。他们系这一级招了七个中
国学生，他们是大学一个班出来的，感觉上自然会比其他人要亲近一些。系里一楼有个休
息室，中午的时候带饭的学生一般就都聚在那里吃饭聊天。静蕾在嘲笑几次了李岩的做菜
手艺后，时不时的会拿些自己做的菜和他交换。有些刚认识他们的学生不知内情，还以为
他们是国内一对儿出来的，就夸他们真有福气，两人能到同一所学校来。李岩住的地方离
系里走路就几分钟，静蕾住的就要远一些了，除了趟坐班车以外，还得走一段路。静蕾常
常在系里自习的晚了，李岩就会把她送到家门口再回去。虽然小城的制安良好，不过一个
女孩走夜路回去还是有些胆怯的。他们有时会谈起大学时的同学和各自的一些趣闻，静蕾

去orlando的机票早在四月份就订好了，一时没有朋友同行，又懒得大张旗鼓的去寻找游
伴，于是我安排了一次一个人的旅行。
Memorial day的前两天，美国刚把全美的防恐警戒升为orange，同事笑着问我要不把旅行
取消了吧。我说笑话，机票，车和旅馆都订好了，哪有不走的道理。机票原先是在hotwir
e上订的，因为无法自己挑选航班，最后拿到的是西北的票。西北先南辕北辙的把我载到
底特律，把我撂在那两个半小时，然后才飞往奥兰多。宝贵的假期时间就这么被西北浪费
了许多。好在假期刚刚开始，心情是轻松的。出门前顺手抓了本英文小说，讲一个老太太
在丈夫临死之际，和女儿们一同检讨自己婚姻的失败。看了几页没有耐性再读下去，于是
我坐了机场快车从一头逛到另一头，又从另一头逛回候机厅。
虽然离长周末还有两天，不过人们已经开始忙着出来度假了。 |

一觉醒来已经是早上九点多了，按计划今天打算先去Tampa Bay。最初是想去key west的
，后来觉得太远了，就改成了Tampa。
Tampa离奥兰多不到两个小时的车程。一路上时晴时雨，一会儿乌云密布，一会儿阳光灿
烂。好在到了Tampa时天气渐渐转好。我在Tampa要去的第一站是Ybor City。这座小城在
百年以前曾辉煌一时，那时Ybor City是全球雪茄生产中心，它在几十年里创造了巨大的
财富。因为大多数移民者来自古巴，他们所积累的资金极大的支援了古巴解放战争。我先
去逛了Ybor City State Museum。这座小小的博物馆里介绍了Ybor City短短六十年的兴
败史。里边还有个雪茄工人在人工卷烟，大概是再现当年生产工艺。我在博物馆里买了张
明信片，是Ybor City全盛时的景象，看上去一幅歌舞生平 |

豆苗妹妹，至今我还是喜欢叶芝的许多诗，包括“The Lake Isle of Innisfree”。
在异国他乡这么多年后，我对他的这首诗有了更深的感受。而Richard Farrelly谱写

是hold 方块的那找百裂拳，打得那个爽。但是平衡性最好的还是Blade of Exile，考

百老汇有出同名的音乐剧是根据这个诗集编的，Andrew Lloyd Webber
