主要情形跟前面几位大侠说的一样，很轻松就能拿到签证，只要信息在
Sevis里面，funding（不管是学校的还是自己的）没有问题，应该都能
拿到签证。只问了3个问题：专业，钱哪里来，有没有被拒过。就看了
bank statement，其他都不要（当然我们开始什么都准备了的）。
我wife学civil的，没有问research 的内容。
详细情形就不重复了:-), 挑几条觉得重要的说说。
1。我们是开车到的边境，5号最后一个exit好象叫Laxt USA Exit Parking.
要做好充分准备找这个出口，否则就冲出去了。我们就冲过去，在border
的关卡前U Turn回的USA。然后上5号（回san Diego)的方向，
出第一个exit，在local上转了一阵，问了停车场的人，然后转到5号的
border关卡（面对Mexico）右边很靠近关卡的地方下的车。你会看见有一些
Mexican走路过一个One way的旋转门，跟着他们走，过一个露天通道，再过
一个旋转门，就可以到Mexico,没有 |

父母来美国很顺利。为了减轻他们的压力，我们不让他们转机，从上海到华盛顿没有直
达的飞机，所以给他们买了到Newark的往返机票。我们到Newark去接他们。另外，不让
他们带托运行李，这样他们过关后不必取行李。还给他们准备了填好的I-94表和海关申
报表让他们在飞机上照着抄写。还给海关官员准备了一封信，介绍他们的情况，以方便
通关。另外准备了来美旅途指南，让他们预先熟悉情况等。结果听说海关官员啥都没问
他们，也没查他们的行李，顺利就出来了。他们一出来，就看到我们已经等在出口处了

的街区小路。或者take exit 60走arlington的lake st到mass ave，那个红绿灯口相
对来说车没有rotary那么多，有时会比走exit 59要快些。 |

woods, main dunstable(8分)学区(最近起来的). exit 1有个私立的幼儿园+小学，
small world不错. exit 1的bicentennial有几个小区(rosecliff $60w左右)还可以,就
是离学校太近了。还有个高档golf公寓区sky meadow($30-$50w)，如果你公寓型的话.
sky meadow背后有个小区不错($40-$50w). 沿着E dunstable RD还有几个大小不等的小
区($30-$50w)，都是bicentennial学区的。
你要是考虑稍微远点但是新点的小区。我原来的小区就不错。maple woods.估计是
Nashua数得上的大小区了。好几百户。价格(-$40-$50w). 不过中国人快搬得差不多了
。老印占绝大多数。感觉风水不错。
nashua还有个华人group email.你可以加入。 有什么问题可以问我。在那里住了6年了

先看一下机场的全局：
国际到达/转机：
所有的INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL都在TERMINAL 5。
入境/过海关非常直接了当，没有任何花样。根据你所在的公司，飞机会停靠在某一侧
的GATE，下来以后会进入两个入境大厅中的某一个（图中1、quarantine）：
过了以后，提取托运行李（2、baggage claim）。这时候两侧出来的人已经混在一处了。
然后带着行李过海关（3、CUSTOMS）。
过了海关以后，如果是继续转机的，则一过海关就有重新托运的柜台：（图中的
BAGGAGE DROPOFF。注意，OTHERS不包括西南航空。如果你给父母买的是中国到芝加哥
转西南的飞机，那如果不是你父母是超级牛人，就是你疯了。）

发帖数: 1432 | 15 今天完成了AFF的最后一跳.在AFF的过程中,出舱都是比较难受的部分.AFF1-4是迎风出
舱,面向机头.AFF5/6是float出舱,先爬到飞机外面挂住,然后把身体像门一样打开,随风
飘出去.AFF7要求头朝下dive出舱(unpoised door exit).虽然大家都说door exit比较
好玩,不过根据前几次出舱的感觉,俺是深深的怀疑.
俺在模拟舱门上反复练习door exit.这时一个刚跳完AFF开始solo的同学给我讲他AFF7
出舱的方式.在舱门口蹲下,双手抓住脚踝,向前成球状滚下去.并且说这个出舱姿势很舒
服,他当时还特意多滚了几圈.虽然觉得这个姿势比较奇怪,俺还是问教练是否可以.教练
说反正这次你是要做front loop的,出舱的同时front loop跳出去就可以了,不必用这么
猥琐的姿势.
大家就轰隆隆的飞上12000AGL.这哥们抱着双脚就滚了下去.轮到俺了,站在舱口看着脚下的大好河山,俺低头收手,一个前滚翻跃出机舱.转过天际,看见飞机在我头顶上缓缓的向夕阳飞去.然后广袤的大地就进入了视野.稳定,Awesome.

h mart北面好几家啊，104出口一家(from atlanta downtown, take I85, exit 104,
make left, about half mile, on your right) ，johns creek有一家，suwanee还有

, it is on your left after 30 meters. it is called international farmer
market).

exit gate is closed (down). So I assume one needs a ticket to get out.
For the Peavine Lot (the open air lot), the entrance gate is down but the
exit gate is up.
So, I gather one can take the entrance of the Peavine Deck and later exit at
the lot. So you are right, no need to get a ticket.
The Parking at Oxford Rd (the visitors lot) was open last Sat.

they are in different location.so you need to know where you need to go.
all domestic use the same one exit. then they can go to south terminal or
north terminal to get their baggage, depend on their airline, then go to
outside of the terminal. You can find your airline terminal following the
signs.
When you pick up your friend, and he has no bag, then you can pick up him by
terminal side without parking your car in parking lots, which might save

抽几个早晨到400# 公路的Exit 10 口去看一看，你就会发现，有很多人在城里上班，
却住在400 Exit 10出口附近或更往北东一点。
我举一个真实的例子，我认识的一个做父亲的人，清华大学毕业，在Delta Airlines
Headquarters Atlanta Georgia上班，做电脑工作的，每天早上5:30am 起床，15年如
一日，辛苦自己，照亮家人，这是什么精神？这就是爱。再说我们家，太太6:00am 钟
就起来，为两个孩子做早餐，我们这边，400公路的Exit 12， 学校的校车6:45am 就到
家门口了，小孩子要赶校车，如果想让孩子多吃点，就得自己送。小孩子早上迷迷瞪瞪的
，大人也不易，可怜天下父母心。
你可能还年轻，慢慢会懂的。其实有很多事，习惯也就成自然了。我想那些60后、70后
能做到的事情，你们80后、90后也能做到，我说的对吗？
另外，很多大公司都有灵活性，允许职工一周在家工作1、2天，在GA Tech 做教师的，

belive your office is on Exit 15 on I-264, and the airport is on Exit 11.
everything is pretty close, but if you don't have a car which is not that
convenient. I lived that apt couple years ago, one bedroom was about $650
but amenties & location is great, and just behind the Oxmoor Mall.

Dan Ryan expressway起点在Gary。Gary是出过Michael Jackson。但是那是最穷困的纯

啪女选手。多数都是大陆北方名校来的女人。一股浓重的地方普通话。
然后在一路往上，就是你看到的waukegan，快到芝加哥北面，也是州的边界。最后那个
Kenosha就在边界。因为Wisconsin什么都便宜。Sales税低，油价便宜几毛钱，房子便
宜，很多人选择住在那里。
这个只是从南到北靠湖只有10mile宽的一条地带。余下都是城市的西边。

you are bound to hit the Atlantic coast within 20 minutes, from there you can
drive south along the beach, and stop anywhere you find beautiful.
If you take GSP south to route 36 (around exit 117), it will take you to Sandy
Hook (nude beach there), that's probably the closest. With 1.5 hours drive,
the furthest you can go is probably exit 63 (Long Beach Island). Some where
in between, you can take almost any exit and go east. You will find Sea

eventually take rt 46, then lake Hiawatha, then 202.

from bordentown to 195 exit,
from 195 exit to car/truck lane split
after Riritan Center exit
If no traffic, it should take about 1 hour from PA TP to EWR (if there is no
left lane dick). It is impossible to estimate if there were jam/accident.
The alternate route before around 195 is Rt 130 and connection to Rt 1.

Bay Farm Island 用High st exit. 住市中心(park street area)用23 st exit.用隧
道的居民是住在靠近Alameda College 那一边.那里治安不好, 太多廉价公寓了.
High st 下班的时堵, 但是从南湾过来的方向. 你是相反的方向, 应不会太堵. slow
是肯定的, 这可是 freeway 880.
生活便利方面,当你看到有多少中国人住Alameda, 就知道没必要担心.

Service Rd 9030 的路被封起来，下了高速公路后不能左转。虽然有牌子说改道 exit
47，但我实在在地图上看不出来如何可以由 exit 47 再回到 FS-9030，只有放弃。
后来又试着上网找找看封路到什么时候，未果。
如果有人这周末打算去 Talapus Lake 或 Olallie Lake 的话，最好先问清楚。 |

因为出口可能会变。你到了机场后，查看哪一个出口(exit for her airplane from
the TV screen)，及行李(baggage claim window)。然后到出口接你妈。如没接到，就
去 baggage claim window。
