的中国人和两个白人，都是老印。开始入职以来，老印老板没找人带我，只给我两个小
project，基本是maintenance。写的代码不多，全靠自己学习琢磨，我也挺努力，这两
个project学得还行，写的代码没出什么事，客人偶尔有好评，无差评。除此之外，其
他时间自己就努力学习。就但一年多来，没人指导，自己技术提高不多，眼界有限。给
老板提了不下20次，找人带我。他先后找了那个中国人和另外一个老印带我一个月左右
。那个中国人，脾气比较差，问题稍微问多一些，就大声吼回来：I do not have time
for your questions. 然后就闷声不说话，也不搭理我。他愿意答问题的时候，也是
一两句话就过了。另外那个老印倒是笑嘻嘻，就是不肯讲重点，拿些边角的东西忽悠我
。在组里，我就是个包子。
前两天，老印老板跟我谈了annual performance review, 给我low meet expectation.

对有经验的开车老手来说，会自然形成这个意识。另外也不会做unexpected的事给别人。
比如说，你开车只要在别人盲区，就会自然对这个车有个警觉多一个眼注意。而自己
不会做像新出来一条道你马上挤过去加速超前车，因为前车可能会以为这条道是空的。
我开车比较猛，但十八年没有撞过别人。只有一次被追尾。别人犯错时松脚油门一让
就过去了。从来没有过完了去滴别人（这点我特不理解，你追上去狂滴，到底有啥用？
考驾照时说了车上喇叭是专门激怒别人用的吗？）
当然，跟年轻人说这个他们也听不进去。都觉得自己最牛逼，别人路上都得让着，呵呵

，teaching 做的不够好 （但是还是达到标准的，只是没在标准上再上一截）。我也觉
得这个不好，于是我今年开始花了大量的时间来做teaching.
冲突的原因是系里并没有看到我所做的努力，给了我非常苛刻以及很低的课堂评价。有
些事情根本就不是我所能控制的，比如说，教室太热了，后面的机器太吵了，你有学生
迟到了，你的powerpoint 中没有动画....
我感觉他就是在鸡蛋里挑骨头。当时一怒之下就说：我已经做了这么多努力（e.g.,半
夜去学校帮助学生解决问题，每个问题都是手把手的教所有的学生，每次讲一个新问题
都要去确定学生是否跟上了），你要是还是不满意，那么，就说明我根本就不合适这个
位置。系头当时马上说我只是想帮你，没关系，我们过了这个学期看看学生对于你的努
力的反应再说。
过了个周末估计他觉得不爽，给我发了个正式的letter of expectation.
看了一下那上面的，跟我和他上周的讨论结果完全不一样了。把平时有的没的都细化成
一条一条的要我必须去做。

meets expectations。更糟糕的是，我马上要休两个多月paternity leave。这六个月
来我趁娃出生之前拼命工作，想拿个好点的performance，可是没想到还是只拿了meet
。这样下去，我下次review（包含了我的paternity leave）肯定更是只能meet了。
请问狗家各位老司机，这样的情况是不是很危险？我之前就有换组的计划，因为觉得本
小组在大组里面比较边缘化，抢不到很多有impact的项目。现在看起来更是觉得好失落
。不知道一休完paternity leave马上联系转组如何？我之前两次的meet expectations
会不会被其他组嫌弃？还请各位老司机支招！
PS：我知道很多工作很拼的同事都只休一个月的paternity leave，可是我家娃是双胞
