the name is really a bad name, when you say it is fair, people doubt, but
the content is really great, basically it is a national sales tax + rebate,

人头反还 一定的钱， 低收入的也相当于不用交税， 而且特低的还相当于有一定的额
外收入， 这个税率和返还款都可以调节. 人人都不用保税了， 彻底取消 IRS.
想逃税的 都是故意的， 一旦发现可以重罚， 不像现在， 漏洞错误百出。

creative by using 9-9-9 as a middleway to fairtax. kind of
disappointed.
whatever it is true or not ...
if one president can achieve one big thing, he is forever remembered. at

flax tax 也不错，还是 consumption based 的 fairtax 更好， fairtax 这个名起
的太差了。
人人都不用 file tax return 了， 花得多， 交的多， 然后政府按人头返还， 最大
的好处大概是非法移民税务问题自动解决， 并且非法移民自动得到高税率的处罚， 因
为他们得不到政府的返还款。 |

一倍不止了,其实没有理由再征个人所得税了.

其实是一个很理性的办法， 只是因为他没有强调增加税收而已， 他的办法是靠
value added tax, 好多国家都用。
这个办法其实很像 pure consumption based 的 tax system, it has a monthly
rebate as well, but not as much as Yang proposed.
basically:
1) get rid of IRS, no one need to pay any income taxes.
2) everyone pays 30% sales tax when you buy anything, that corresponding to
a flat 23% income tax

这个非法移民问题很难完全解决，俗话说法不责众， 严惩跟睁一眼闭一眼都不符合常
理。 偶觉得 fairtax 不错， 就是取消 income tax, 纯粹的消费税， 然后按人头人
均返还一些钱， 至少这样， 非法移民缴税了， 而且税率更高因为拿不到退税。 |

解放了奴隶，刚花的钱打了水漂。是不是也是政治上就“不正确”？
从长时间来看，如果某项制度改变是有利的，就应该改。改变的缓急可以讨论，也可以
想各种办法减轻过渡期的镇痛。
但不能用过渡期的镇痛当做阻碍制度改变的借口。
至于你说的退休金的问题，我的想法是可以按照年龄发prebate，来offset sales tax
，慢慢phaseout income tax的影响。

人人都不需要报税了，消费的时候自动交税。非法移民也无法逃税，并且得不到政府的

loophole, 但总体来说不失一定的公平性， 就是低收入者应少缴或不交税， 很难
想象那部分人会因为简单而去选择 flat tax.
fairtax 就是纯粹的消费税，感觉很不错，一些问题如非法移民等迎刃而解。
好像反对的声音集中在两点：
1. 高消费税会导致大规模的地下经济。
2. 所有的 business 都要开始 collect taxes. |

没解。
最好的解决办法我觉得是 fairtax 的消费税， 让非法移民自然而然的缴税且享受不到
返回税。
美国的总统都想把 tax code 搞的越来越复杂， 无聊 。 |

美国税法扯淡的事太多， 不过没有总统懒得动， 巴马 is making it more complex.
我老看了 fairtax 后， 特别喜欢， 纯粹消费税， 税率统一， 然后俺人头每月返还
一定数额的钱。 这个确实很不错的 idea.
不过美国是多事之秋， this is low priority. |

自己的税率太低，对国家不利，他完全可以把他自己的收入当W2报并且号召盖茨等其它
巨富做同样的事啊。不要忘了他很有说服力的，他那个合法避税的foundation可吸引了
不少富人。不要听他说啥，关键要看他做啥。他那样的大牛啥忽悠人的trick不知道？
第二，共和党内，尤其是libertarian分支绝对支持改变现在这种杀中间，济两头, 无
比复杂的税收政策。他们提出fair fax很久了，从未得到民主党的支持。fair fax 完
全不会伤害穷人的利益，他们保障基本生活所需的花销无需缴税。巨富们会多出很多血
