The further fall in the US pending home sales index in June supports our
long-held view that the housing market would falter after the homebuyer tax
credit expired at the end of April. After plunging by 29.9% m/m in May,
pending sales (those signed but not closed) fell by a further 2.6% m/m in
June. That means either a lot of sales were pulled forward from future
months to take advantage of the tax credit or that underlying housing demand

An ETF of an market index (or a commodity or currency) is backed by the
actual stocks (or commodities or currecies) that make up that index. If you
buy an ETF of the Dow Jones Industrial Average the company that issued the
