发帖数: 82 | 1 准备买个house。LD在NYC(time square)上班，需要通勤方便。不知道该选Fanwood还是
Livingston (South Mountain Reservation边上）. Fanwood的House is within
walking distance to train station to NYC. 如果选Livingston要开车到Newark再坐
Train. 另外父母老人会一起住，所以希望出门步行方便，不要太偏僻。最好社区内也
有些中国老人。学区Livingston更好些（10，9，9）,Fanwood (8,9,8).对Fanwood了解
不多，也不知学区够不够好。
大家说该选哪个？ |

在Fanwood以东的Westfield要好得多，不仅是学区、还有downtown，以及有频繁的车次
到NYC；像Westfield很多地方，街道干净安全，很多地方可以走路到达，比如小学，公
园，downtown等，比较适合探亲的老人。
RT 22号下面Westfield等地（包括Cranford）一带的交通还是可以的，应为这些地区
developed比较早，城镇化比较好，非常适合步行。如果要是考虑房子大些，pravicy好
些，那北面在RT22和78高速之间的Mountainside也非常不错，9-10分的学区，而且地税
偏低，门口22号上还有NJ Transit的117 Express Bus站只可以一个小时到42街，如果
不反感坐Bus也是一个选择。
78号上，Livingston以西也有很多town可以考虑，比如Millburn，Summit，New
Providence，Berkley Heights，Long Hill，这些镇子都有NJ Train通向NYC 34街，时
间从30分钟到一个小时不等，越往东边的镇子城镇化越好，可... 阅读全帖 |

方挺远。我想做火车，就可以把车停在停车场了。 好像fanwood有一个火车站，但是要
在newark转才能进pen station吧。edison大一些有没有直接到pen station的火车？刚

以考虑坐bus 114直接到42街或者去fanwood坐火车到纽瓦克

以上。
试试 THE MATTRESS FACTORY 在FANWOOD，半个小时车程吧。他们家的床太好了，而且
有些床两边都可以睡。不过不便宜，起价500+，几年没去了，可能涨了。但是，相等的
床在其他店里卖的更贵。 |
