。想想60年代他们读研究生的时候，正是共产党在世界各国大得人心
的时候，那个年龄阶段的思想观点一旦形成，终生都会受到影响。另
外一点是文科搞学术的很多人是中偏左派的，但象偶Boss这样真的敢
说自己是communist的还不多见。偶到这儿来主要就是她的功劳了:偶
很早以前加入的CCP，电话面谈时偶不愿说谎因此承认自己是at
least CCP member in name，想不到遇到知音了。一起吃晚饭也聊了
很多次，可惜偶把国内情况一说，她这样的理想主义者也只能在现实
面前叹气了。唉，来了之后偶就拼命往教堂跑，昔日奋斗誓言是都抛
掷脑后了。
另外一件趣事是90年诺贝尔文学奖得主Octavio Paz当年到Yale来扬
名立万时，因为他个人某些观点极右（总体还是中右派），当他讲到
这些东东时，有两三个教授随声附和，偶Boss一怒之下，就从第一排
站起身来当众说了几句Fascist而后退场了。这事我在另外两个教授

诽谤与谩骂的区别， 并且说”骂人是受美国宪法保护的，英文叫做freedom of speech
”, “即便被骂的人有多么的不爽，诉诸法庭也是没有什么用处的”. 感到有点
surprise.
美国宪法First Amendment 的Freedom of speech 要保护的是人们表达思想的自由，而
不是骂人的权利。骂人和表达思想是有本质区别的。

I find this line to be hilarious. American justice system is founded on the
principle of "Innocent until proven guilty". Unless a firearm IS stolen
AND used in crimes, such assumptions are fascist thinking.
Taking away the guns to some people may just be something they don't care
about; once the guns are gone, so are your house, belongings, family, and

吹捧，也没有太直白的批评，不然在当时的捧鲁风气中会被人打杀的。另外《我们仨》
里也说钱钟书对待胡乔木等人，是把他当书来读，说看书要从书的最高境界来品评。我
想他们应该都是对政治比较冷淡的人，不太考虑人的政治方面，只注重文化方面。这点
我很同情，我和人聊天也不会说什么政治金融经济之类，只对书感兴趣。我要是碰到胡
乔木肯定也一样。不过从胡乔木的角度来说可能就是拉拢文化人，粉饰政府。就是上次
波哥贴的susan sontag写的什么fascist fascism。不过其实胡乔木也是人啊，他也可
能就是对文学有兴趣，就是喜欢时不时和文人纯聊天，不带任何政治色彩。反正这种搞
思想意识形态的人，都比较上纲上线。所以我不太看得进ism的东西，是很有启发性，

中国一直以来一系列任命主教的行为，已加剧了中国与梵蒂冈的紧张关系。
中国天主教爱国会负责人刘柏年透露，这位新主教将在“吉日” 被任命，但没有给出
更多的细节。
刘柏年，现任第十一届全国政协常委、民族和宗教委员会副主任，中国天主教“一会一
团”名誉主席，山东省政协副主席。
梵蒂冈教廷一直与受北京控制的中国教会进行着艰苦的斗争。它声称，这次的任命并未
受到教皇的批准，是不正当的。
中国天主教爱国会继在中国南部广东省的城市汕头任命黄炳章为新主教后，又有了进一
步的举动。
中国已有570万基督教徒，而且人数还在不断增加，他们如果不愿忠于中国天主教爱国
