据披露的财报数据显示，2018上半年，长和系旗下商业和基建平台——长江和记收益达
到2245.07亿港元，比去年同期增长16%，纯利增加13%，至180.2亿港元。
作为长和系的主要盈利业务，长江和记今年上半年不仅是收入和纯利均达逾10%的增长
，而其业绩增长主要来自旗下基建部门于2017年作出的新增收购，以及赫斯基能源和零
售部门的业绩改善。

about getting in amongst the action. If you feel like your images aren’t ‘

在一篇两百余字的微型小说中，马悦然借小动物之口，幽了一默上次来沪演讲的经历。
那是2005年炎夏，这个八十多岁的瑞典老头，用“中古音韵”吟诵了李清照的《声声慢》……但多数人并不关心他的汉学研究心得，只是抓紧一切时机、拐弯抹角地追问诺奖的事。
在瑞典闲聊时，马悦然的夫人陈文芬曾跟我提及这趟可怕的上海之行，“运气很不好，复旦在修路，学校里一塌糊涂，那天王安忆送我们出来时悦然就已开始发高烧，后来越来越热，他差点死了……42度！陈丹燕就骂我，这个热度你还让他来？！”

前些天在这里问过大家买车的砍价建议。
现在买车两周了，汇报一下。2013 ford fusion SE with reverse sensing system
only。人在PA，6%的税。OTD $22600。其中贷款8000，APR 0.49%。
有人问配置。上面已经说清楚了，就补充一下吧。msrp写的是24790。
发现还没补充完。我用了一个national rebate，1500。还有因为我是学生，500的
rebate。然后贷款是自己找的，才有这么低。另外，dealer是Faulkner Ciocca Ford
at Sounderton。在bbb上，他家是A+的评分。看着还可以。
买的不算很便宜，只能算一般吧。不过dealer服务什么都还不错。第二天去超市被人在
轮子上方车体磕了一个凹痕。dealer给免费修了。所以还算满意。

1. Southern literature
侧重描写美国南方贵族&贫民，种族纷争，内战等，典型代表Mark Twain的The
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 、拿过炸药奖的William Faulkner(The Sound and
the Fury)、及Margret Mitchell的Gone with the Wind。南方文学具有独特的幽默和
绝妙的讽刺调侃社会，个别作家文中带有大量的南方方言俗语与绅士淑女们的proper
english作对比让人捧腹
另一个亮点是短篇多多，短小精悍，意简言赅，推荐几个--

faulkner最典型，mark twain也很好，我还喜欢thomas wolfe，很优美忧郁。飘我觉得
没像他们那么经典，但作为大众文学很妇孺皆知。战后一代的海明威和fitzgerald也很
有典型意义，the lost generation。上次texasredneck写了个很长的gatsby读后感。
我自己很感兴趣的是eugene o'neill, tennessee williams, truman capote等人的剧
作，主要是因为看不懂，觉得tantalizing但是好像隔了一层，总吃不透意思。
tennessee williams的欲望街车号和热锌皮屋顶上的猫拍成电影好像都拿了奥斯卡的。
嗯美国的短篇是很好，短篇之王是o. henry，现在每年还有欧亨利短篇小说奖，很有影
响。前两个短篇我记不清了，faulkner的这个rose for emily我记得，很悚人，让我想
起雾都孤儿里的那个老太太。我还记得d. h. lawrence写过一个rocking horse很出名,
但具体也记不清了 |

几年前王安忆说她边做笔记边读库切，觉得说来说去最根本的还是性和欲望。我觉王安
忆是看走眼了。库切写的性只是叫人产生羞耻的动机。每部小说里几乎都有很离奇的性
，老人和少女，文明人和野蛮人。这要是纳博科夫或者王安忆那就有的好把性写的如何
erotic了。而事实上库切写的性几乎是没什么欢乐可言的，从某种角度来说，特别是在
Disgrace里，简直是人作为动物的羞耻的背负。
语言＊
几年前英文系出了一帮子比较库切和海明威的语言的研究。我没仔细读那些研究，所以
也不好说。可能长短句的交错有点像。但是说到语气就太不象了。海明威写战争是透着
调侃的，往往幽默着然后陡然就沉重其来了。库切呢，那语言是做成重磅炸弹砸在人心
上的。幽默偶尔有，调侃绝无。
我觉得比较库切和陀思妥耶夫斯基还比较靠谱，大段大段的心理斗争。
还有就是，从用词来看，"waiting for the barbarians" 里明显的用厚重的生僻词汇
要多，然后发展到"summer time"，口语话逐渐强烈。当然和小说主体的抽象程度有关。
不过有意思的一件事情是库切说翻译Borges的人用词太深奥，没有必要。这个么，不用

似乎就是去年，曼德拉去世的时候，网上出现了一篇帖子，信誓旦旦地说南非的衰落是
因为曼德拉领导的黑人政权上台。而这篇帖子在网上被疯传，题目被改了好多遍，流毒
甚广，许多网友看了帖子的内容都相信了“曼德拉是南非的罪人”这个说法。但实际上
，南非不论在经济上还是政治上，都是各国学者们研究的热点，而对于南非种族隔离前
后的经济、社会状况，南非种族隔离，黑人政权上台的历史事实，至少在事实层面上学
术界已经达成了共识。而这些结论，其实只需要百度一下就可以鉴别真伪，但是却有这
么多人（包括知乎）不加甄别地相信了谣言，真正的辟谣贴子却少有人关注，实在是令
人丧气。

应了七十年前南方社会的真正形态，那么我小表妹认为步步惊心里面全是历史事实也不
算无知。
至于反映南方的人文历史，个人认为Faulkner的作品水平要高得多，虽然纽约客说他是

现在买车两周了，汇报一下。2013 ford fusion SE with reverse sensing system
only。人在PA，6%的税。OTD $22600。其中贷款8000，APR 0.49%。
有人问配置。上面已经说清楚了，就补充一下吧。msrp写的是24790。
发现还没补充完。我用了一个national rebate，1500。还有因为我是学生，500的
rebate。然后贷款是自己找的，才有这么低。另外，dealer是Faulkner Ciocca Ford
at Sounderton。在bbb上，他家是A+的评分。看着还可以。
买的不算很便宜，只能算一般吧。不过dealer服务什么都还不错。第二天去超市被人在
轮子上方车体磕了一个凹痕。dealer给免费修了。所以还算满意。
开了500迈，总的MPG是23。manual上说开始的头多少英里MPG不准。希望以后会更好吧
。然后悬挂很硬。动力一般般。如果上2.0的ecoboost估计会很棒，加1656也不会很贵
