从没有想过会读金一南的书，因为我们的专业原本差别很大。他在国防大学战略教
研部任职，从发表的文章看，主要做的是时政评论性质的工作；我则做的是实证的历史
研究。两项工作性质和方法差距很大，原本有点风马牛不相干。知道金出版有《苦难辉
煌》一书，[1]书店里简单翻过，因为发现是纪实文学体，文字、史实随性发挥，观点
及资料引证又全无出处注释说明，因此也没有动过去读的念头。
所以会想到必须要读一下金书，是因为今年纪念共产党诞生九十周年，许多报刊杂
志和电视台都投入大量人力物力财力做纪念文字或片子，一些编辑记者把他们写好的稿
本发来请我帮忙在史实上“把把关”，意外发现其中许多错误如出一辄，十分雷同。细
问之下，才知道原来他们这些出错的文字，大都是从金书中抄来的。为此我不得不上网
把金书相关章节找出来看了一遍，结果让我大吃一惊：怎么会有人这样写历史！
我最初看到金书是在书店小说散文一类文学书里面，想来作者出版这本书时应该也
没有想要当历史书来出。既然是文学书，自然也就像“××演义”一样，不应当被人们

reading the VOA report, I re-read both, neither of which mentioned China (
