500K税后就是300K. 用25%是75K. 剩下225K. 不算利息, 八成年是1.8M. 将近2M是可以
FINANICAL FREEDOM得过一般生活可以了. 当然标准高一点的FINANICAL FREEDOM是3-5M.
其实一般人挣100K一年的话, 这个人一辈子也就值500K. 也就是说, 一个人赚100K一年
的话扣掉税和生活费用, 剩下的钱差不多够还500K的30年贷款. 这就是为什么一个人赚
100K, 银行最多只贷给他500K买房的原因. |

这个Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) project 是印度的十一五（2007-2012）计划
里的内容，按照计划这一万多公里货运铁路应该在2012年之前完工。
但是铁路一直没开建，据报道是因为没钱，土地也一直征不了。不过有报道说今年要开
建了，重新计划到2016能建好2000多公里。今年印度铁道部的财政报告被其国内媒体狂
批，其中就有DFC项目资金不够无法保证开工的问题。原先2006年计划的时候预算是 Rs
280 billion (about $6 billion)，今年重新算了一下要花Rs 770 billion。

将把后者的高利润肉制品引入中国。然而，美国是世界上为数不多可以合法使用瘦肉精
（Ractopamine）的国家，而且美国食品和药物管理局(FDA)早在1999年就立法允许猪肉
中残留的瘦肉精数量可以高达0.05 ppm.，是联合国国际食品法典委员会(Codex
Alimentarius Commission)规定上限的5倍。

俄罗斯“去美元化”议题已白热化，而Gazprom Neft公司率先宣布与90%的合作方达成
人民币、欧元结算协议。继其之后，部分俄罗斯大型公司也表示已准备好，一旦制裁进
一步推进，将改变美元为主货币结算，转向人民币和其他亚洲货币。
随着中俄双边贸易发展，欧亚“混血”的反美元轴心迅速成形, 美国在乌克兰外交政策
上推行对俄制裁，反而将俄罗斯推向中国。而俄罗斯公司集体推动“去美元化”发展，
无疑展现了这一点。

As far as I know, Krugman is a Keynesian and he spoke against the
derregulation long before the 2008 financial crisis. BTW the 2008 finanical
crisis is not only about the housing, it is more about derivatives which
caused the majority of the damages. |

Say if an accident causes $1000 damage. Now let's also say, if we let insuranc
e pay for it, and our insurance rate goes up by $300 next year.
Most insurance companies only checks driving record upto 3 years anyway, so st
arting from the 4th year, we are as good as having no accident on record.
So, pay $1000 now? or pay $300/year for 3 years? Needless to see, the 2nd opti

一句话：beware of auto barn, stay away from autobarn. 千万不要去autobarn,尤
其是这个在MT Prospect的autobarn.
本不想再花时间了，但应诸多同学的请求，写个简短的总结。
为什么要买Routan?
正像我跟大多数团员们交流的，我并不是必须要买这个车，主要是cover一些risk,这个
等过一两月，希望有机会被证实。 然后就是被toyota dealer激怒，本想买个sienna
LE就得了，谁知对于老客户，他们居然牛的不得了，没有一点讲价的余地，不可能低于
invoice，不买就走人。这时候又赶上Routan促销，算了下cost/performance比，比其
他车划算的太多了，于是决定弃高可靠性（其实Sienna也是美国组装的，说高可靠性有

过了两周了，还是没有回复，倒是收到了finanical的bill，1000$压根没减，然后找了
dealer那做paper work的，一周都不回复我，今天连续打了一个下午电话，告知说我信
用记录里面有一个因为mail问题晚交账单的问题，所以rebate不行。
求哪位大牛告诉我该怎么办啊，如果真就这个问题的话，换我老婆签合同行不？不知道

Due Day是昨天，因为一直没收到Dealer发来的关于Finance的mail，前几天就打电话去
Dealer那里查询贷款的情况，Dealer给了我一个Finane的电话，让我去问，可是我打过
去一问，那边说 他们根本查不到我的信息，也就是说Finance那里没有我这笔贷款的信
息，然后我有打电话给Dealer，Dealer说他再去查查。。。。
我就奇怪了， 合同上写了利率多少，应该贷款就不会有问题了吧。。。我之所有今天
想到上来发个帖子，是因为我今天收到一个银行的mail，说没法给我auto load, 我在
想会不会存在这种情况， Dealer去银行给我申请贷款的时候，最后银行没通过啊。。
。 那我现在这种情况该怎么办？ 如果真的贷款没下来的话，我怎么换贷款啊？ 还是
说他们来把车收回去？ |

Interview 1: 学校T
这个学校有phd program，所以我把它当作是research school。当时面试机会来得很快
，让我措手不及。走之前一天才做好slides，准备也不够充分，更要命的是，这是我这
一辈子第一个面试，所以彻底的惶恐紧张……
面试那天的安排真是让我觉得--情何以堪，情何以堪啊！回到hotel的时候是绝绝对对的
身心俱损，因为这一天我从早上7:15开始到晚饭为止，马不停蹄地见了17个老师，本科
生和研究生代表，外加dean，每个meeting20分钟，中间还穿插着跟系主任的N次重复面
谈。我面试前一天一晚上基本上没怎么睡着，心想我以前也熬过通宵，一个晚上不睡应
该没啥大问题，结果事实打了我一个响亮的耳光……
上午的面试我感觉很不错，我惴惴不安地坐在会议室里等老师进来，结果进来的几个老
师都非常友好，让我大为意外。他们基本上一直在跟我说funding,funding,fuding，告
