没有绿卡, 没有相关工作经验。
我周围没有作这一行的朋友，所以上来问几个问题：
1．我知道IP这方面做Biology的比较饱和，fresh PhD能找到technology specialist的
机会有多大？我打算申请NYC, Boston, Washington DC和SF这几个area的IP firm.
2．哪里能找到这类job opening的信息？还是要自己一个个firm地问？
3．大概要提前几个月申请？如果希望能明年9月开始工作，几月份开始申请？

Firms现在不是hiring,是在抓紧缩小规模，过去几年很多firms扩展的很厉害，都是因
为banking的大bubble，现在这个 bubble恐怕十年之内回不来了，所以firm的size也要
缩小。laid off的律师可以到小一点的所，或者直接到government工作，今后几年SEC,
DOJ等会需要很多律师。 外国人就不要想了。 |

这些年最火热的就是码工，头几大的那些，招人多，还待遇高，
比biglaw起薪高，赶上biglaw的mid/senior associates，work life balance却好很多
，入门也容易，狂啃编程和做题，一年总足够了吧，还没几十万的学费生活费成本
biglaw是law firm里pay的最高的了，还难进，应该比FLAG难进，而且进去了还待不了
俩年，淘汰率高，压力大，没life
这是law firm最高跟码工最高比
中小firm跟中小码工比，那就更没得比了
更别说这还没算3-4年法学院的学费和机会成本
现在还往law跳火坑，只有一个评价：不是傻，就是实在是闲得撑的非得折腾一下 |

进 in house 会不会把以后的路走窄了？新手在in house工作会不会积累经验不够多不
够快（因为不是完全focus在law上）？进in house是不是也没什么机会积累客户？另外
，将来有可能从一个company的legal dept 到另外一个company的 legal dept吗？有优势
吗？我听说in house都喜欢从firm招fresh blood，所以万一哪天公司倒闭了我还有去
处吗？据说做in house也很难再去firm？

phd去mgmt consulting firm最好是fresh graduate而且是名校出身，然后练练case
