8分钟1英里在跑步机算不错的了. 如果是路跑(路跑环境哪有那么好, 总是会故意找写
坡, 还有挡路的), 你这个水平在普通社区的活动里能拿名词了.
我们的club当然是酱油部, 又不是专业的, 一年才20刀会费. 不过里面有几个丹麦荷兰
的确实是大牛. 我从来不看他们的, 只盯几个中年猥琐大叔和年轻辣妹, 跟上他们的集
团就可以了.
不过老中的嘴巴功夫, 我也只能举身边例子了. 当年换车以后有两辆车, 成天拉狐朋狗
友陪我去central park. 两圈顶天了. 3圈的都极个别. 还要我降速等. 我老平常4圈起
, 只要时间够, 5圈, 6圈也不在话下. 我自己没什么可吹的, 只不过常年看见一些吹牛
离谱的忍不住上去扇.
老中, 不用说自己身体有多牛了, 能花点时间多用用公司的gym, 多出去出去outdoor就
很争光了.
比身体, 打从哥来美国第一次去gym, 见了几个老黑, swimming pool里见了几个老白就
早死心了.
fitness长时间坚持下去就是纯自娱, 随便去fitnees, running版看看, bso的到都是和
自己比的. 喜欢踩别人一头的. 只能嘿嘿了... 阅读全帖

跑步机大概有十台,有几台稍微新一点,经常要等机器
从来都是很挤的,hispanic多,有点脏。。。
可以冲洗,有桑拿
你可以sign up一下guest pass去试一下

new york sports club 在Rego Park有一家,在99 St.和 Queens Blvd.的路口。设施
环境都比Elmhurst Bally好,人也不算多。当然会费要贵多了!

golf fitnees instructor just means he is the professional of golf-oriented
fitness. he might not know playing golf at all (well, it could happen),but
he must know some.
pga apprentice means he just started his pga teaching professional career.
PGA apprentice is given to the one who passed the +18 (2 rounds) cut line.

coaching gave me another aspect to see my own games, i am not
coaching for $$, just for fun, another kind of fun.
but i am a person who shifted interest very fast, on and off,
come back, i can easily get bored sometimes.
my TT coaching career went only about 4-5 years (97-02) longer
than my personal fitnees trainer.

Overall, among our Chinese fellows, it is highly recommended to lift weights
more. When i go to any sports clubs, i could see many good Chinese players,
but not many folks are really into lifting weights.
It takes a lot more discipline to get addicted to lifting weights than
playing
one certain sports.
By advocating our Chinese fellows to work out more definitely would help us
a
lot, for our health, fitnees and sports skills, for prevent-injury, recovery
and conditioning etc..

For weight lifting, it also depends on your level, a lot of people
can see the level difference right away for ball sports, and think
weight lifting is just lifting weights.
For beginners, squat/deadlifting should be avoided for sure!
If you are serious about fitnees/exercise, all 4 main areas should
be added in a weekly basis:
Cardio, weights, flexibility and interval trainings.
For tennis, in order to improve, say you have 10 hours/week, do not
put all 10 hours into playing games even though p
