friction = dissipation
BTW, Is there anybody have good suggestions about how to

faculty来说可以算是很牛B了，但是对于老方这种senior的已经搞了一辈子的人来说，
就只能算so so。不要说是院士，离aps fellow的级别也还差了不少。引用率最高的一
篇文章还是95年到了arizona之后跟老外合作的，被引118次，这也是方唯一一篇被引用
上百次的文章。可见方励之89之前确实没有做出过什么重要的工作，他的名声和地位绝
对是靠政治得来的，当然其中部分的也是80年在中国搞科普所得，必须承认科普工作也是
有重要的社会意义的。
(BTW，有人说你这个搜索未必完整。不错，确实不能保证100％毫无遗漏。但是我
用的search engine is THE search engine everybody in this community uses today.

自由主义哲学有个核心信仰，就是只遵循非常简单的几条原则的随机过程能出现群体智
慧。
中国的传统哲学是过犹不及，也就是说要秉持中道。这个中道的意思就是社会或者系统
的发展
演化需要有足够的fluctuation（导致多样性）和足够的dissipation （负反馈导致稳
定性）. 完全是fluctuation, 也就是人心惟危，类比于不受限制的波动，在能量或者
和信息输入之后，系统很容易进入正反馈的崩溃状态；只有dissipation, 也就是道心
惟微，无非是说自然界通过各种微观方式损有余而补不足，耗散掉能量输入，增加熵，
建立负反馈机制，使系统趋于稳定。但是如果只有耗散机制，生态系统又会进入平衡，
乃至死亡。所以一个活的系统必然是fluctuation和dissipation形成某种动态的机制，

是否能引发phase separation/transition.
实际的情况是,在spinodal以后,任何微小的fluctuation都可以导致phase transition,
只要在q*有fluctuation.
但在亚稳区就不是一样了,通常需要比较大的fluctuation才能越过barrier.
所以要确定实际的phase transition point,就必须考虑fluctuation.
事实上,正是因为fluctuation任何体系才会回到equilibrium,或者到能量的最低态. |

在那个 logistician 的天外飞仙故事里，由我前面所述，如果我们把外国游客说话以
前看成物理学的 initial singularity，而外国游客那句话触发了 big bang，那有个
问题就是 “啥是外国游客的那句话？”。
而对于这个问题，目前量子力学的解释是 quantum fluctuation。。。也就是 “
quantum fluctuation triggered big bang from initial singularity”。
我并不是认为量子力学的解释就是合理，量子力学是一个 bizarre 的玩意儿。。。但
不管怎样有个解释是 our daily perception of time (naive deductive logics)
has the granularity limits, and maybe starting "phase out" at subatomic

禅修基础扎实的人， 或许仅仅需要理论上的就可以跳出一些坑了
至于什么是空性，
去看印顺法师的 ”中观论颂讲记“吧（也欢迎推荐其他的译释 ），个人认为中论整部
都是在讲空， 为什么是空， 直接讲空不行的， 就是用破“有”的方式进行的。不过
空和有也不是对立的， 这是个辩证的手段。。。

：consistency
不试验证明找到的新的发现是真的，而且有biological significance以前，啥都不算
，俺永远predict RB1和RB有关，这个基本上永远没错，而且永远consistent。
：sensitivity/selectivity
By simulation?没用，每个人都可以找到一个model说明自己的方法是世界上最牛的（
别人也可以设计另一个model证明你的东西完全错了）。用俺前老板的话，simulation
只能证明你的方法没用，不能证明有用。
：BIOLOGICAL RELEVANCE.
如果你是通过翻文献或者GO code/IPR之类的，算了，太主观了。比如找到一个set和
Ubiquitin有关，估计啥phenotype都能往上套。想要证明这个东西是对的，唯一的方法
是做试验，比如说你predict某些gene overexpression会引起 metastasis，那就去动
物体内去验证，至少也要在cell line里证实。当然，现在绝大多数bioinfo的文章都是
