doug flutie应该是个传奇呀。想想NFL真是很bias，同时QBs 对于一个franchise太重
要了，选定一个franchise QB 真是象选女婿，要fit 一定金龟婿的条件啊，不按成绩

Tebow和Flutie都在NFL有过cup of coffee. Flutie是Heisman Trophy winner，在金钱
效应下选择从usfl起步结果赶上公司倒闭，作为NFL rookie搞砸了1986 bears 的卫冕
希望（据说防守水准比1985还高）。说起来起步可不如Tebow第一年那么露脸，但职业

South Natick is very good. Along 16 and C river, it almost feels like a

个子太矮吃亏，在场上老被人欺负，其实DF的手臂力量准头也很不错。
据steve young说猪不理刚去saints的第一年off season，大概有半年，天天学习QB的
战术和应变等等，非常的刻苦学习钻研，读博士一样。
当然佩顿是NFL天才型的进攻住教练，也有很大关系。还有就是室内球场+地毯。 |

周六启程, 飞到芝加哥, 和我弟弟汇合, 当晚开到普度附近过夜.
很久没有和他单独一起几个小时说话了,
在夜深人静的路上开车, 无话不说, 包括tjjtds(谈经济谈党史, mind you)
还真是quality siblings time, 2nd best thing on the trip.
不过话题最终还是回到球赛上, 都说千万不能输球啊,
不然真的很窝囊, 很不值, 回家的漫长路程上会很郁闷, 想着都害怕.

旅店大厅里已经挂满了巨人/牌子的气球,
在check-in和在附近吃饭的旅客们大多是穿着球衣的两队扇子们,
双方都装没看见对方, 只和自己人寒暄.

睡觉前看了一眼, 网上最便宜的票是$1400,
我们看中的位置是$1900, 而在一个星期以前还大约是$3000+fee的,
几天前在巨人论坛上也还有人平卖$2500, 心中暗喜.

然后周日继续往Indy开, 开到球场附近, 看到的停车位是$150一个,

说有一些传球, 比如说crossing route over the middle,
5'11"的人(退后了几步, 在6'5"的linemen后面), 无论如何是看不清的.
以前5'9"的Doug Flutie, 到了生涯尾声, 终于也说了真话,
承认很多plays, 他只是看到个人影, 把球大概往那个地区一扔, 然后祈祷 ...

仅仅是NHL上百年历史上的第13次,但却是他个人22年生涯里的第三个进球.
2010世界杯上, 德国队对英格兰, 守门员一个大脚,
前锋跑对位置, 直接造成单刀直入球, 好像说是40年来首次的守门员助攻.
当时比分还是0:0, 上半场, 不知道英格兰猴急什么.
WSJ报道的另外一些稀有景象:

速度奇慢的C偷本垒 -- home, not 2nd -- 过去40年发生过40次, 上一次是2008.

现在虽说还是裁了，其实Tebow应该自己心里有数，
麦丹牛和小鸡还是帮过他、并且给足他面子的：
(1) 几个月前，茄子裁他，那时根本不会有球队要他的
(“茄子QB情况那么不堪，都不要Tebow，咱们还要？”)
经过拍子训练几个月，能够(曾经)入得小鸡法眼，再被
麦丹牛指点，又有Brady 做 mentor，怎么说股票也比
几个月前有所提升。
(“拍子都几乎看得上，那咱们？”)
(2) 知道Tebow将来未必能打NFL QB了，在最后10秒胜定的
情况下，专门让他传个轻松TD (当时都等着他 kneel 了吧，
否则也不会那么容易)，不惜被巨人私下里恨。
这是什么待遇？(Tebow's last play in NFL was a pass TD).
相当于让40岁的Doug Flutie 2006 退役前最后一战来个
drop kick extra point (which has not been seen in NFL
since 1941) 的传奇收场的待遇。
Tebow 心里不会不明白的。

you can drop kick a football. that is, you catch football from your long
snapper, drop it, and kick it after it bounces off the field. doug flutie is
the last person who successfully executed a drop kick field goal, when he
was with new england turncoats. |

真正能从CFL杀回来的不多但是有，当年Doug Flutie在NFL呆了三年没人要了，去加拿
大当了6、7年全明星，回到NFL拿到comeback player。2012赛季做过一个好多前辈QB给
Tebow打气的片子里面就有他。
