OKLAHOMA CITY -- NCAA president Myles Brand said he isn't necessarily
opposed to a recent proposal by the NCAA football issues committee that
would extend player eligibility in the sport to five years.
Brand, speaking Friday at the Women's College World Series, even said the
idea "might be favorable" if it included the elimination of the practice of

记得最后赢了黄鼠狼，校园里大家都很high
第二年认识了几个懂球的朋友，邀请我一起看球，慢慢的对规则有所了解。而且那年
OSU好像越打越好，我也去现场看了几场。最记忆犹新的现场看球是，2005对MSU那次。
上半场快结束时，MSU本来至少可以有个飞狗，我感觉上半场就MSU一个飞狗结束了.我
边上的哥们，嘴里不停的说"还没完，我们还有机会block block飞狗!...", 没想到，
MSU那个飞狗不仅被block了，而且还被我们拿了个TD. 简直太有戏剧性了。从此，基本
上football season的周六都用在看球了。
现在，一到秋天感觉最兴奋的事情就是看球了。 |

印象最深的是bears狂暴Pats，以至于我后来都不记得当时chicago的对手是谁。NE
fans表扁我。第二年就怪了，只记得Denver野马，连冠军是谁都忘了。再后来，据说
cctv没跟nfl谈妥，就黄了。
当年是什么比赛都看，觉得football这玩艺挺新鲜挺刺激。后来来了这边，也没有特别
关注；只是自己电视上到时候放的也都是NCAA BB FB以及NFL，但自己该干嘛还是干嘛
。算不上铁杆。fb现场比赛也就去过一次，倒是篮球现场看得很多。 |

Just for fun: Before NFL draft, he declared: if no team drafts him in the
first round, then don't bother to draft at all. 'cause he will then play for
NBA. Thus, no team drafted him.
He led FSU football to our first NC and basketball to top 8 in NCAA

了。ND第四。

2011年初，密西根大学AD Dave Brandon 解雇RR，找来San Diego State 的Brady Hoke
做主教练。这意味着密西根football抛弃了3年不见效的spread option，重回pro-
style的打法。但是，毕竟Hoke资历尚浅，没有太成功的resume，唯一可以联系的是他
曾经是密西根的教练组成员，了解密西根的传统。
Hoke手里的武器是QB Denard Robinson；他带来了OC Al Borges和找来了DC Greg
Mattison。不利的地方是，接手的是排名倒数defense，在Big10赢不了的O-/D-lines。

橄榄球和其他运动一样,吸引力不在比赛本身,更多在于观众的心理倾向.
college和professional football/basketball的区别也不是比赛本身，而是支持者
和支持者商业价值。
还有一种现象就是受众群体，通常橄榄球/篮球是穷人运动，棒球吸引美国主流人群更多一些。有些家庭背景和教育比较严格的老美，对于在公开场合YELP和身体对抗过于激烈运动持有一些偏见。而冰球反映的是一种传统骑士精神，这使他和美式橄榄球在很多老美眼里有着本质区别。
我们多数人，包括这里的同学同行，主要还是支持自己联盟和学校的体育项目。每年更多比本校重要精彩的professional football，没时间就可看可不看的。 |

the right, 想留就留，想走就走”，还有那些上街的本科生。。。 活脱脱的
"we are penn state".
现在大家的“猜想”一一得到了验证 -- Sandusky 1999年年纪尚轻就退休，的确
是因为已经事发，JoPa完全知情，但选择了捂着不报，息事宁人。 不光没有把
Sandusky关进监狱，反而作为 valued member of the Penn State football
legacy...
2001再次出事之后，学校只是ban Sandusky from bringing kids to the football
building... 相当于说，rape is OK, just don't do it in Penn State facilities.

一年新甚至一个月新。
没有人讨论penn state是不是应该关门，因为不会关门，不用讨论。
football program能不能关门？当然可能，整个体育部关张也不是没有先例，
前有SMU, 近有Howard, 一锅端，毕竟体育对于大学不是必须的。受影响的
学生运动员怎么办，各种办法。
penn state football能不能关张，有可能，但很小，毕竟历史太长，影响太大。
但关一年的可能性还是相当大的。
second mile如果属于psu, 现在恐怕楼都已经拆了。 |

拿不到而已。
我们教练有时候犯傻，球队talent没法cover，就输了；Saban也有时候犯傻，不过很多
时候他们的talent就能给cover过去，赢了。
SEC包括Bama对football球队的支持是其它很多联盟没法比的，Saban在Bama可以花钱请
最好的OC，DC，position coaches，名义上只有9个教练，可是下面有一堆人以各种头
衔服务于football球队。Saban可以因为一个recruit，给recruit女友在Bama安排个工
作。他在Michigan State我看干的不比Mark Dantonio强多少吧？ |

这哥们除了长的寒碜点，经历倒蛮像流川枫的：当年鸭子也给offer，没接受。TAMU一
给offer就愉快地接受了。问理由，答曰：离家近，没事可以回家陪爷爷钓鱼……
高中时还打过接手等位置。高中的记录也是很快就破了，并且是在上半场就打爆对手，
下半场坐板凳的情况下达到的。就这样还只评了3星，可能是Size不像QB吧。当年TAMU
迟迟不给offer就据说是Sherman觉得其不够fit。
第一年有高富帅Tannahill压阵，干脆红杉，结果今年非常惊艳。距离Newton的SEC记录
不到1000码了，按照现在的进度很快就会超过去了。本赛季已经完成了三次pass超300
，rush超100的比赛，是2000年以来第一个做到的。数据这么好还是在SEC这种重视防守
的联盟里办到的。如果还在Big12里面，估计刷的更愉快了。
Johnny “Football"是他在高中时就有的外号，现在TAMU球迷改了，直接叫他 Johnny
Fxxking Football AKA JFF，不过这样挺伤人品。主场就是JFF这么乱叫败了人品输给

我先说说我的，来抛砖引玉吧。
我看football历史是比较久了，刚刚来美国一个月就看。第一次是在师兄家看的我大巴
马打Virginia Tech的揭幕战，在Atlanta，就通过一场比赛，我就基本了解了football
的所有基本规则，从此每场比赛都不落下的，看了一个赛季的巴马的比赛。反正在那个
赛季里，所有的球队都是弱队，碰到我大巴马，必死无疑。印象很深的一场比赛是主场
打LSU的比赛，去Fugerson center看的，LSU的球迷真张狂，拿了第一个TD之后叫个不
停，直到第三节我巴马在气势和比分上都压过LSU了，他们才消停。最后我巴马全胜拍
第二进入SEC决赛，打的提包大帝泪流满面。最后在总决赛，趁着McCoy 被撞之后装病
下场，替补QB经验不足之际，拿了全国冠军。
这是比较早期的历史了，有谁能不查Wiki，说对是哪个赛季的？第一个答对的发2个包
子。希望大家也踊跃跟帖。 |

大多数球员进不了NFL，还可以拿个不错的学位/专业，自谋出路还是不错。
今年的QB Jack Rudock本来想在密歇根医学院继续学医，但是如果能够NFL选上，则只
能推迟几年再说了。
当然，最牛逼的Football球员当属福特总统（虽然是接尼克松辞职上台的）。
另外一个跟中国关系密切的是Tom Harmon，在二战的时候，到中国去打小日本，飞机被
击落。然后被中国老百姓救起，后来结婚时的婚纱是用降落伞布做的（真是九死一生，
在当时的环境下）。
读传统，这样的故事才比较振奋人心。
Football比赛，不只是输赢，而是输赢之外表现出来的各种人性光辉和事迹。比如，这
个赛季，Lloyd Carr的孙子年纪小小，得了脑癌去世。整个球队为了他而举行各种活动
。这种精神难能可贵！ |

明显，对football的狂热程度和球迷人数，Auburn大于Alabama，Clemson大于U of SC
， 另外，TAMU 约等于 Texas，Michigan State约等于Michigan，但是前者规模都远小
于后者。
看看今天，场内基本都是Clemson的球迷，bama的颜色完全被压制了 |
