发帖数: 707 | 1 Gotta talk something about my Avalanche le. The Avs regular season ended
in an unexpected fabulous way, with they claimed 9th consecutive division
title, Foppa wins the scoring title and Hejduk wins the goal scoring title.
I can't recall any regular season moment in Avalanche franchise history
better than this. However....
The Avs also made their earliest postseason exit since 1998, especially
being knocked out by an expansion team only in their 3rd season in NHL.
How did this happen?

-disappointing season, but largely due to injuries(Blake especially).
-Paul Kariya's two injuries affected his speed and wrist shot.
-Temmu Selanne blamed himself for not working out.
-Foppa hasn't mentioned his intention yet.
-Under new CBA, every team have to make management changes. Avs will
still be an elite team in the NHL.

ORNSKOLDSVIK, Sweden (AP) - Peter Forsberg will miss the rest of the Swedish
Elite League's regular season after breaking a bone in his hand while playing
for his hometown team.
Forsberg left Thursday's game in the third period of Modo's 3-2 overtime loss
after colliding with Linkoping player Johan Franzen. He underwent immediate
surgery and visited a hand specialist Friday for more tests.
Team doctors said Friday that Forsberg dislocated his left wrist, and that

2. PL's understanding of salary-cap-era NHL is: you can't waste any
cap room on an injury-prone player, even if he is the best player in
the world.
3. Foppa only wanted a 2-year deal, so he can retire from NHL in 2
years to play back in Sweden.
4. PL doesn't want to loose young players (Tanguay, Hejduk), who have
a good 7,8 years left at least, becuase of cap room.
