各位前辈，大家好：
我是国内医学院临床医学专业本科毕业生，出于对法医学的喜爱，我在医院工作了一年
后考入了法医专业的博士。由于在读博士期间对公安法医有了一定的了解，发现国内的法医工作和
自己想象地相去甚远，所以就出国做了博士后（心血管生理研究）。
我目前的情况是：1）.今年30多一点，绿卡已经解决；2).家庭比较稳定，老婆也在工
作；3）.已经开始复习了一段时间的Step1，感觉已经学进去了、很有动力。
对于未来的专业选择，我是肯定报病理科，而且还是想首选法医病理。我看了网上的一
些关于Forensic Pathologist职业的介绍，基本上是先做4年的病理residency，然后再

chemistry的学生，弄这个显得太窄了。CE很老了，没什么新东西发展了，学术界在基础
研究上都基本不做了（这也是为什么去做具体的Gun shot residue），industry都用
HPLC.
我们系有个Forensic的助理教授，在化学系adjunt，基本上绝大部分的学分析的美国学
生都会顺便去她那里“报个名”，在自己组里正而八经读完phd后，也顺便就拿了个
Forensic的master。平时也不会去花个什么精力弄它，可能就多选个把课程。找工作我
看也没起多大用。做MS的用MS的方法做个Forensic的应用，做chromatography的用
chromatography的方法做个应用，做电分析的用电分析做个应用，如此而已。我们组一
个美国同学在我们组会上practice seminar，大家提了一堆问题，完了跟老板说，我明
天拿到Forensic组去practice一下，看看他们有什么意见，老板眼睛一闭，
“Oh, they know nothing!” |

小弟现在面临选老板的问题了。
有个老师是做Analytical和Forensic的，他主要做DNA检测，爆炸物痕迹鉴定之类的。
他说可以要我，但是新人进去主要是做Gun shot residue的鉴定，方法主要用毛细管电
泳。他说这个太偏Forensic了，离Analytical有点远，让我仔细考虑一下。
不知道学Forensic，就是国内说的刑侦学、法化学吧，在美国这边怎么样呢
听师兄师姐们说外国人找工作很难，因为进他们相关的政府部门必须是公民或者绿卡，
而且又没几个公司做这个，所以出路窄。
还有毛细管这些年如何呢，如果去公司的话？

据给偷了.其实我觉得这是一个破案的最佳突破口:调查如何进入,有没有留下指纹等等.
悲剧的是没有马上保护现场和物证.
我看过美国一个关于forensic science的节目.里面讲的是一个很久破不了的疑案,没有
证据没有证人,好象什么都没有.后来几个forensic scientists在被害人的衣服上找到
了只有在高倍显微镜下才看的到的嫌疑人作案时留下的fiber,最后把嫌疑人锁定.
好象他们还查了嫌疑人可能留下的头发,衣服,鞋,甚至皮肤上掉下来的fiber.如果还有
一点点ZL当时的物证的话,这可能是一个有效的思路. |

Doesn't work anymore. The police didn't seal off the dorm room and didn't
collect the evidence according to proper forensic technique. So anything
that's available right now can be and should be considered contaminated.
They can only be used as hint for investigative purpose, but not very strong
evidence in court of law. |

发帖数: 389 | 27 Forensics是事务所里advisory的一个practice. 前几年因为sox,曾经是会计里最热的
职业,也被认为是会计工作里面最有趣的.其service line包括risk assessment,
contract compliance, internal investigation, litigation support etc. 举几个
例子: 检阅高度机密的email,核对建筑合同和实付报酬, check contractos' time
sheet and expense sheet, 核算loyalty payment, FCPA investigation, AML
investigation, consolidate GL to TB, GL analysis, AP analysis, looking for
inappropriate revenue recognition... 项目时间比审计要短很多, 事务所定的
charge rate很高, 很多职位要求security clearance, 要保持utilization对我们外国
人来比较难.

发帖数: 1041 | 29 会计硕士的PS谁在乎的啊。看你能写几句通顺的句子就差不多了。
forensic accounting没什么意思。搞搞FCPA compliance，或是audit support，SAS
99的干活，弄个IDEAR之类的data analysis软件把客户ERP系统里导出来的manual
journal entry往里灌，分析有没有什么fraud的red flag。听着fancy，其实没啥技术
含量，是个人都能干，学不到什么东西，出路也窄。
有个CFE的证也很容易，卖张CD给你，连习题带考题都在上面，一堆选择题点完，一、
两礼拜只要智力正常就都通过了。当然公司出钱就当点着玩儿了，通过拿个一千块奖金
喝酒吃饭。 |

FORENSIC TOXICOLOGIST 是为medical examiner 和其他 LAW ENFORCEMENT 服务的，
PhD LEVEL
的位置很少，不要求CERTIFICATION的更少 |

你最好查查forensic 到底做什么,做这个的人在网上都有什么评价. 然后根据他们的评
论,你可以总结出个几点: 比如forensic is interesting (why interesting?),
forensic 的responsibility 很重要 (why important?), 然后你的法律和会计背景给
了你在这个领域发挥的好机会等等.
为什么要来FORENSIC组.我其实,是被RECRUITER经理邀请到那个组的,因为我还有个法律
