食为先有两家,都在108街上,俩家是同一个老板,好像老板娘常驻南边的那家吧,
北: 2945 S 108th St, Milwaukee, WI (414) 328-9890
南: 5512 S 108th St, Hales Corners, WI (414) 529-9988
北边的那家开的早,一般叫老fortune,地方较小,但是去的人很多.跑堂的大叔在那里呆了
可能快十多年了,经验老道,menu分两个版本,对中国人和对老美的.你别进去装大头说英
文了,给你个美式中餐的menu你就别说我推荐错了.我比较喜欢吃贵妃鸡和八珍鸭,牛腩
煲也不错.在北京楼崛起之前,这里被很多老中国人认为是milwaukee最好的中餐馆.
南fortune新开的,我不太喜欢,手比较黑,常有些莫名其妙的小手段,很恶心.有火锅,一个
人好像快20多30的样子,菜不多,调料居然就一碗不知哪来的sauce,没有麻酱的影子.再
者我第二次去点了个鱼,算帐给我算20多,我问价格,老板娘出面拿铅笔 |

fortune cookie说今年我会有桃花运。 但是从来没有发生过。
我没有说大众没有好处。 我的意思是， 就算我们同意了要去和别的运动挣， 羽毛球
凭什么去和别的运动挣？
第一， 篮球和排球是team sport。 一个场地可以n个人同时玩。 羽毛球最多只能4
个人。
第二， 本来打的人口就少。 转来转去， 一个大学10万人， 打羽毛球的每天晚上都
是那20个。
第三， 不是NCAA的项目 。 这个就像不是奥运的项目去奥委会要钱一样。
第四， 没有diversity。 这个你也说了。

发帖数: 82482 | 20 到年底了，回头看看总结今年看过的几本书。感觉上今年大部分时间都泡在水里了，当然，这完全都是Patrick O'Brian的缘故。他的Aubrey-Maturin系列，总共二十本，今天已经看到第十七本了。所以，航海应该算是今年的主题。
好几年前，粗略看过这个系列的第一本书，《Master and Commander》，没有什么感觉。当时好像是Russell Crowe的同名电影刚上映，就把书拿过来翻翻。当时英语不好，说实话，没有怎么看懂。感觉非常晦涩，很多词字典里面都没有，就没有在意。囫囵吞枣看下来，反正战争动作场面还算精彩，而且作者的英国式幽默也算是很Charming，但是没有感觉非常特别。
今年年初的时候，把这个系列的第二本，《Post Captain》拿出来翻翻，感觉上容易好了很多。可能，这些年来英语有所长进；而且，几年来断断续续地翻看了不少关于帆船时代航海的参考书和图解的缘故。对于木制帆船的结构和航海技术有了粗略的了解，大体知道了Ship，Cutter和Barque的区别，知道了什么是 mizzen，topgallant，royal topgallant，以及studdingsa... 阅读全帖 |

1. 10-2003 确诊，07-2004终于手术切除，期间Jobs一直在试自己选的diet疗法。扫描发现癌变在扩大才动了手术，这段时间癌转移的多少不可知，但肯定越拖转移的越多。
2.手术后没化疗和放疗。Jobs 2005年演讲说这表明病情乐观，不知是哪个庸医给他灌输的。2004年手术是大面积切除，部分胰腺和胃和小肠，胆和胆管都切除，目的是要消除扩散，但不系统化疗和放疗怎么能最大程度减少扩散威胁？哪个外科大夫这么信自己的手艺？

500的公司上班. 两个人差不多时间开始办, 结果后来她们公司大规模裁员导致冻结所
有绿卡申请. 我们公司这边则如期进行. 后来我们都快拿到绿卡了她们公司HR还发个信
问她要不要继续申请.
对我而言, 小公司的申办比较弹性. 我是我们公司近五年来第一个办绿卡的. 好在老板
很支持所以申办过程虽然有些小问题但是也都迎刃而解. 大公司虽然有经验, 但是规矩
也多. 即使在我老婆申请那边停滞时她的老板也曾试著帮忙, 但是碍于公司规定也无法
解决. 像我们这种学商的在市场上又不难找,又一堆人想进Fortune 500. HR根本就有侍
无恐. 所以我会建议如果不想在big 4浪费青春, 就找一间规模中等的上市公司作内稽.
内稽市场小所以条件会比较好谈. 我当初是谈三个月后老板review我的工作表现, ok就
开始办. 至于Fortune 500就各个公司有所不同. 唯一相同的就是没作个两三年公司通

我就是想做corporate tax，对individual tax喜欢当兴趣学习但是不想作为career发
展，我的最终目标就是在corporation做tax。本来我的规划是想进big four，然后积累
3年经验跳去industry可以直接从senior做起，但是面试通不过，捷径走不成了。没能
直接进四大，就去其他有点规模的firm也很好，就在一家比较大的firm里面做实习，但
让我灰心的主要是实习下来积累的全是Individual和VC tax return的经验，完全不符
合我的career goal，后来拿到一家small firm的offer，在这家虽然我不用只做个人和
VC但还是要做很多个人的 (一大半时间做individual/trust, 一少半时间做small
corps)，有种心灰意冷的感觉，没想到刚刚居然拿到一家Fortune 500的offer (tax
analyst)，就果断accept了。心想如果要去那家small firm的话离我的目标太远了，将

个人体会，觉得整理一下给正在match的同行们做个参考。这里说的是CMG的总体情况，
不适于一些突出人才。
关于现在CMG在美match的形势，个人认为很严峻，而且在短期内无法缓解，甚至很可能
进一步恶化。从三个阶段分析:
1. match前的竞争情况：
a.AMG(MD/DO)扩招是不争的事实，具体增长在20%左右
b.加勒比医学院扩招。他们的毕业生在竞争力上仅次于AMG,在IMG名列前茅

Maybe because I am not deep in it yet. Most developers and analysts do not
earn a fortune at all, they earn even less than many people in silicon
valley.
Second, I have never been a quant so I do not how much a quant/trader could
earn. But if you want to be, you first need to pay much more. 1 hour per day
