老有人问旧金山住在哪里好，其实用priceline和 hotel.com找旧金山市里的酒店有时
候并不贵所以还是先看看价钱要是太贵住在机场附近其实很方便的，有很多价钱好的酒
店，我一般是先看hotel.com了解价钱，然后去酒店自己的网站预订或者直接打去酒店
前台（注意是前台不是800预订的号码）有时候他们前台的价格比酒店网站价格还便宜
。一般机场附近的酒店都有shuttle去接你加上机场附近的酒店离一个华人聚集的地方
不远。要是住的话我建议你找el camino real上面between Millbare Ave 和 San
Burno Ave 之间的酒店。（用google map 可以看看都有什么选择）。还有就是可以看
看san mateo,那里有酒店提供免费的接送到机场的服务。
旧金山市里的话我觉得Japantown有两家酒店可以考虑一家是
Hotel Tomo: 1800 Sutter Street. （每间都是有日本卡通特色的房间）

我觉得你拖家带口的还是租车吧。或者租一天车的那种。
weather in SF is ok, sunny/rain, temp around 60s the best or as low as 50s.
酒店的话可以试试downtown周围的，civic center周围有点不安全。你hotel.com看看
吧。

其实在美国无论去哪里玩最好还是租车，毕竟美国公共交通还是不那么发达。要是住在
旧金山市里租车可以选择一天一天的租，比如像enterprise在旧金山市里有很多店，你可
以租一天，他们还会来你住的地方接你，完了送你回去。

这周四和下周一在San Francisco周围有两个面试，周末就想直接住在San Francisco的
downtown了。有谁知道那里的几片区域哪里安全哪里不安全么？我从priceline上看到
的bid的区域有：Civic Center，Financial District - Embarcadero，Fisherman's
Wharf，Marina - Lombard Street，SOMA - Moscone Center，Union Square East，
Union Square West - Nob Hill。还有就是一般3星级的怎么样？大概多少钱bid合适？

近期要到South San Francisco工作，上来求租房的建议
现在2口人，lp准备找工作
1~2年内准备要小孩
普通单职工收入
希望租2bed 1bath的apartment，预算$2000~$2800/month
realtor强烈不推荐住在South San Francisco
说房子稍微便宜一点
但是周围啥都没有，去哪里都要开车
interview的时候realtor带着跑马观花看了看
Bayview
San Bruno
Millbrae
San mateo
Foster city
Redwood city
对Millbrae，San mateo，Foster city，Redwood city印象不错
请问这些地方safety怎么样？
周围生活方便，舒适程度那个比较好？
往South San Francisco的交通拥挤程度咋样？
听说Bay area房子很难找，大概要花多少时间，看，等能够找到比较理想的apt？

University of San Francisco
San Francisco state University
City college of San Francisco
USF是个还不错的私校，本科学生声誉不错。
SFSU是加州大学的分校之一，但是这个加州大学是CA state university，并不是我们
常说的UC系统。UC系统有UCSF, UCSD, UCLA, Berkeley 等八大名校，共10个campus。
CSU有二十到三十个分校，大部分排名都在三四百开外。
City college 就不用说了。 |

查看了一下canada consulate general, san francisco/silicon valley网站, 还是有
几个问题想请教:
我听说面签一般很快, 当天就可以拿签证.
请问在San Francisco可以面签吗? 还是必须到LA或者NewYork, buffalo, detroit,
seattle之一的consulate general去面签?
如果面签, 是直接去就可以, 还是要提前在哪里预约?
download的表格上说"application must be made at least one month before your
intended departure."
请问这个是必须的吗? 有没有可能不提前这么久(比如只提前10-15天)去签证?主要爹妈
这次过来时间不长, 一共只一个月...
如果哪位有类似的经验, 能否介绍一下, 还有没有什么特别要注意的地方. 需不需要爹
妈在国内准备什么材料?

-LV。一家四口一老一小（4岁）两个司机。在版上考古后设计了这条路线，请有经验大

09/19 LV出发穿越死亡谷，宿Mammouth Lake, CA. 死亡谷这次没时间，只路过时到此
一游的照个相；
09/20 游玩Devils Postpile and Mono Lake，宿Yosemite东门；
09/21，09/22 at Yosemite，09/22傍晚开去San Francisco (~170mi, 4h)；
09/23，09/24 at San Francisco；
09/25 延1号路南下，看风景，宿1号路中途；
09/26 继续南下，看古堡，傍晚开去Sequoia (180mi from Hearst Castle , 3.5 hr)
；
09/27 Sequoia and kings canyon NP
09/28 回Las Vegas （430 mi，7hr）

发帖数: 168 | 49 今天是San Francisco Open的最后一天。六点多终于写完了公司的一周工作总结。胡乱
吃了点东西，七点便飞奔出去。
一路上和东岸的某同学探讨房市。不知不觉从南湾开到了South San Francisco. 于是
赶快电话里弃了该同学掉头南下。依稀应该在Marriott. 可愚昧中只找到Hayatt. 郁闷
之中，GoogleMaps(mobile)指明Marriott只有South San Francisco才有。于是在
TomTom的引导下急速掉头北上。在该Marriott前惊讶不已，＂为什么和我前Ｎ次来过的
地儿不一样？＂求救致电Ｍ位湾曲舞林同休均不能接通。最后找到wu175。感谢wu175这
盏非湾区的明灯，惭愧的我终于在8:34pm在Marriott趴了车。
正要向SfOpen飞驰，一条黑影从旁边的车中窜出。"I know it's you!"
惊讶之中，认定是一位执著的希腊舞友。"Why?"
"From your profile."
"What profile?"
"Nobody else has your hair style!"
"?!"Moonraker轰然 |
