坐着说，他有一天在佛罗里达州开车，前边有个卡车，卡车上掉下来三个苹果，在
freeway上弹了几下弹到底下，竟然都没破，很好奇，不对啊，佛州不产苹果啊。
后来发现，是西红柿！
于是此人好奇，开始了长达几年的佛州西红柿的生产的调查，调查结果令人触目惊心。
首先，西红柿喜欢干燥，佛州很湿润，应该是不适合西红柿的生长的。所以，大量的
chemical用在上边，据说一次化验，一个佛州西红柿上发现了110种杀虫剂，
其次，佛州降水多，西红柿也没法生长，于是，佛州的西红柿，是在沙子，不是沙性土
壤，就是沙子里生长的，营养成分全靠定期注射化肥，实验出来的成分能让西红柿长得
又大又圆又硬，freeway上都摔不烂。

This occured at night on the freeway. I doubt people realized the debris on
the road was a body until after they already hit it thinking it was
something else. Unless there is major immediate damage, you don't pull over
at night on the freeway to check for damages since it is unsafe and too

小说里常见的一句话。天涯海角，究竟在哪呢？美国48陆州的天涯海角，可不折不扣是
key west了。
之前，心里总觉得加州和佛州是东西对应的，其实仔细研究一下地图，加州其实是和南
北卡在一个纬度。佛州，如同美国的JJ，长长地伸在海里，可是远比加州南的多了。而
key west又长长地往南海里又多探了一百五十英里。这不是天涯海角哪里算啊...
佛州是什么样子的？心目中，总是呈现出旅游宣传画片里加勒比海那种绿色的海水，白
色的沙滩那种美不胜收的热带海岛风光。亲自走马观花四天下来，感觉和自己之前的想
象差别还是挺大的。所以，任何地方，不亲自去，看任何介绍任何别人的游记，都没用
的，自己的感受，永远和别人不同。
刚下飞机，就有一种透不过气的感觉。机场气温计显示80度，如果在加州，这气温正经
舒服啊。但是在佛州，却让我一下子觉得有写喘不上气。我从小国内也是干旱地区长大
，来了美国一直呆在加州这种沙漠气候。这种潮湿，还真有点不适应。浑身都觉得汗腻
腻的。一路开车都觉得脑门子往出沁汗。 好在接下来几天正好赶上一波大降温，南佛
州也冷到了五六十度，立刻觉得舒服多了。

210了。 Baldwin 下来往南， 结果悲剧， 下来就堵， 一路一直堵到huntington。 一
个红绿灯， 我都要远远看着变绿， 变红， 变绿， 再变红5 到6次后， 才能勉强通过
。 然后再重复一遍， 通过下一个。 210 到huntington 走了我30分钟。 看到
huntington的红绿灯的时候， 我小小激动一下， 但是还是等了有10分钟上下， 才通
过。
筒子们来说说， 怎么会这样？ 我没有看到有什么accident， 也没有看到有人在路上

从arcadia 到usc有很多路线可以选择，如果没有traffic,那么走210转110最快。第2个
选择是从santa anita 直接往南上10号freeway到usc.第三个是从huntington dr往西开
到atlantic blvd左转往南开再上10号freeway去usc.
只要不要赶最堵的时间，一般1小时内应该可以到。 |

直行限速15，一直到一条freeway右转（大概500ft），开100ft然后右转到限速35的
freeway，
过一个红绿灯，换右道右转回shopping center，然后100ft左转回考场。就OK了。

解一下大家的想法。一家之言，抛砖引玉。
其实准备工作是早就在做了，但是直到真正开始买房，才对湾区的地理人文有了更深刻
的认识。本来觉得湾区聚集了高科技精英，应该学区都不会差到哪里去，第一轮调查下
来大失所望。第一感觉就是旱的旱死，涝的涝死。好的的确好，美国高中前200名，差
的差到2，3分，根本不能念。60万的预算在好学区连块地都不一定买到，所以我们从一
开始就把目标定在800分左右的高中学区里，所谓的三流学区。据说高中API 800分是道
门槛，过了以后一般会正向反馈。而且这个级别上加州州立能占点便宜。所以我选择的
这几个高中都是保持在800左右的。我们的策略是进可攻，退可守。800分的高中不算好
，但是还有潜力，我们的孩子还小，可以当种菜种一种，如果上来了是上上策；如果上
不来，也不是不能念，大不了将来或买或租到好学区去，是中策；如果学区掉下去了，
则是下策，但是这种学区是我们要尽量避免的。

Bay Farm Island 用High st exit. 住市中心(park street area)用23 st exit.用隧
道的居民是住在靠近Alameda College 那一边.那里治安不好, 太多廉价公寓了.
High st 下班的时堵, 但是从南湾过来的方向. 你是相反的方向, 应不会太堵. slow
是肯定的, 这可是 freeway 880.
生活便利方面,当你看到有多少中国人住Alameda, 就知道没必要担心.

what you said is not true, LA is poorer with shabby freeways designed to
create traffic jams and accidents. FastTrek lanes are deliberately set to
collect innocent citizens and visitors' money. SF area freeways are better
at every respect.
LA ppl also drives poor camrys and priuses, （and those 20 yrs old MBs whose
windows are not electric, if you look at downtown). Rude at lane swtiching.
